Attached to the Hotel is a bar, well worth sitting here at night - only thing is your all-inclusive option stops the moment you go past reception so drinks aren't free here.

Olu Deniz, everything was just perfect for us.
If you stay in Olu Deniz it will be classed as a beach holiday but there are plenty of day trips to take from the many sellers lining the streets. Tandem paragliding seems to be the most popular and they desend from the skies on regular intervals landing safely on the road adjacent to the beach. Kids from four to the 'oldies' of eighty years of age give it a go and it takes between 40min to 50mins to complete the flight from the top of a very high mountain range. Olu deniz beach is sandy as you first walk onto it but it does turn to pebbles as you get a few metres form the clear blue sea. Get some cheap 'jelly' shoes to make it easier to enter the water. Once in it is great but it does get quite deep quickly.
The Blue Lagoon is just a short walk and is well worth the admission price of 3.5 lira, the water turns from clear blue to clear green and varies in depth as you walk around the lagoon itself. As on the main beach they charge for sunbeds and sunshades and there is a nice snack bar to shelter from the sun and cool down with a cold drink and tasty kebab.
Local buses run every few minutes from Olu Deniz and are very cheap, just flag one down and get on. We went to Fethiye market for some bargains and the bus ride was 3.5 lira each for the 20min journey, a taxi would have cost nearly 40 lira.
Olu Deniz is chilled during the day and gets busier at night but not too hectic. Give this place a go and we hope you like it as much as we did, already planning to go back.
We are couple both fifty.
WARNING... Dalaman airport is very very expensive for getting a cold drink on your return journey home. At 9 Lira for a can of Coke (£3.50 ish) and 7 Lira for a small water they must be making a killing. Buy water at resort or on your coach transfer at 1 UKP for TWO bottles.
Have fun.....

THE RESORT WAS CLEAN PERFECT FOR ANY WHEELCHAIR USER AS IT IS ALL FLAT. EACH NIGHT THE ROADS AND PAVEMENTS WERE HOSED DOWN AND SWEPT BY THE SHOP KEEPERS, SOMETHING WE DON,T SEE IN ENGLAND. THE BEACH WAS ALSO VERY CLEAN AND SAFE. THE HOTEL ENTERTAINMENT COULD HAVE BEEN A LITTLE BETTER HOWEVER HAVING SAID THAT AT LEAST IT CATERED FOR CHILDREN.

I have been here more than 13 times. Over the years I have seen the changes, unfortuneatly not in a positive way. The main street has become a "Brits abroad" nightmare. Load booming music karaoke bars. I am glad to say these have been contained to the one street. The rest of Olu Deniz has stayed the same. The beach bars have developed but have retained the "Turkish" feel. The resort offers plenty to do and see. The boat trips are good value for money and are well run. Paragliders from all over the world come to jump off Bagadad Mountain and its relaxing to watch them glide in whilst sat in my favourite beach bar "HELP BAR" The resort offers many different kinds of restaurants and bars to suit all different tastes. From Turkish food to Italian to chinese. A great resort for all the family so long as the karaoke bars do not expand and spill onto the rest of the resort.

Transfer time was around an hour and a half in total as we were last off and the only drop in Olu Deniz.
The resort as a whole was great, laid back with some bars / nightlife down the beach front if you like that kind of thing. There is a good choice of restaurants here too. Our favourites were: Josephs for a Mexican Steak (delicious), Captain Hooks for a Swordfish Shish (very tsty and tender), and Toscana for the best pasta in town also did a great Steak and Chicken dish called Bianco e Nero. Also Hisaronu is 5 mins up the hill in the Dolmus for a livelier night out.
The beach was nice however the closer you get to the sea there are pebbles rather than sand which are a bit painful to walk on. You really need something like the shoes they sell in the shops to protect them.
You also gotta try the paragliding, just fantastic! We went with Focus for £45 each. The prices with other companies range from £35 to £70. I would recommend you go mid morning to afternoon as the thermals are better and can carry you higher.
All in all a great holiday, can't wait to go back and would definitely stay at the Mavruka again.

A small compact resort that has everything you need, shops, restaurants, trips and excursions, nails, hair, tattoos, plenty of bars and a couple of late late bars and best of all very very very friendly people. Up the road is Hisonaru catch the dolmus and there is even more shopping and more nightlife. I have been returning for the past 5 years now and love it more and more each time .

Olu Deniz is an excellent resort, with fantastic views of the mountains. It has a lovely area to walk up and down browsing shops, tavernas restraunts etc. and the locals are nice and friendly without being too pushy. I would recommend the turkish baths and massage & the boat trips done by the Easy Riders on the sea front. Lovely resort, very clean and well kept and cant wait too go back asap!

The resort of olu Deniz is really lovely, beach really lovely and stunning view, have to so worst thing was the price, Turkey has become very expensive, they seem to have added on extra as they are not part of the euro, would not go back just for this reason alone, just felt like walking wallets
