Attached to the Hotel is a bar, well worth sitting here at night - only thing is your all-inclusive option stops the moment you go past reception so drinks aren't free here.

Olu Deniz is a lovely resort but is not a resort for the Club 18-30 crowd. They can go elsewhere thank you. There are many good bars and restaurants, too many to mention but we would recommend Bella Gusto on the front for some excellent Italian food. Thankfully there are not too many Karaoke bar's and to the best of our knowledge there are no "Red Lion" or "Brown Bull" pubs. Did not use the beach, but went to the Sugar Beach on the private side of the lagoon. 15TL for 2 beds and an umbrella to lie by this beautiful lagoon all day, with lovely ambient chilled music coming from the bar area. What a relaxing place to spend the day. If you go yo Olu Deniz you cannot avoid the paragliding. If you fancy it, do it - you wont regret it. Fantastic experience, not cheap, but one that you will never forget.

One down side this year was the prices of everything. Food and drink has shot up in price from last year and Turkey is not quite the cheap holiday that it used to be a short while ago. eg 12TL (just under £6) for a martini and lemondade in a sea front bar. Dalaman airport is one big rip off, they even wanted a pound for a trolly to put your bags on. Count on paying 4 times as much for a drink, snack etc.

This is a lovely resort - we found it to be quiet and felt safe when we were out and about at night. The beach area was clean but we tended to stay by the pool at the hotel most days and just strayed out to visit the local shops.

We didnt feel it was particularly cheap to eat out and drinks seemed quite expensive on the main "drag" As we were All Inclusive we tended to stick to our hotel.

We took a boat trip on the Volkan 4 which proved to be a lovely day out, stopping at lots of different places where we could swim in the lovely clear sea. The onboard photographer took lots of pictures and we bought the cd of pics. The food onboard that particular boat (fish or chicken BBQ) was of a good standard and was included in the price of the trip. Cold drinks and ices were available throughout the trip and you settled your bill at the end of the day. The prices of these items was reasonable and we didnt feel we were ripped off.

Would I visit this resort again? Yes. And next time I intend to make sure I have dangerous sports insurance cover so I can try paragliding from the mountain tops! A gentleman we because friendly with at the hotel won a paragliding trip at the hotels bingo night and at 69 years old we thought he was mad - but he loved it!

All in all this holiday represented good value for money.

Lykia World Residence is amazing. The hotel itself is huge and can take 15 minutes just to walk from one end to the other, but it's worth it for the beautiful scenery. There are lots of pools including at least 2 over 18 pools which is lovely if you want peace and quiet. The food is delicious, they have a different theme each night with LOTS of choice. I particularly liked the range of fresh fruit which were very yummy!
You are never far from a bar to purchase drinks when the sun gets too hot, the beach is lovely and has a platform you can swim out to to view marine life.
Olu Deniz is a 5 minute drive away and taxi's a provided by the hotel, the staff are very friendly and most speak good English.
They have a different show on every night. I watched a few and enjoyed them all, had a good laugh at some and was in awe over others.
I would definately go back to this resort when i get the chance!

Olu Deniz is a lovely resort suitable for families and older couples. The beaches are clean, the traders friendly, and the resort feels very safe at night. There are no noisy all night clubs.
Olu Deniz is the singularly most beautiful place on the planet. go you will love it.

This resort was meant to be the quietest of the resorts in Turkey but unfortunately it has been getting busier every year, as I've been told, which maybe good for tourism but personally I think it's taken all the authenticity out of visiting another country for me. It is just full of British people and all the bars and restaurants only cater for the British so mainly chips, omlettes and pizzas etc. It does get very hot in August so if you don't mind 50 degrees and a busy, all British resort then enjoy!

We have visited Olu Deniz 7 times now and notice eveytime a change. Bars change, shops close/open. The resort doesn't grow much which is nice, a couple of new hotels is all we saw. A shame Papinos bar has closed as the guys were great, but we soon found a new local. Cherry Chow was our meeting point and we had a great time in there with Spike and Jimmy, great freinds, hope we see you next year. Our lunch time local and final drink was "The Irish bar" off the main road just past the craft stalls. Mehmet who ran the bar is a lovely guy and made you feel very welcome.
they made lovely food there and the pizzas were delicious.

The beach as always was clean and a few more sun beds than previous years, still loads of room though.
Resturants are plentiful and our favourites are Buzz bar, Captian Hooks, The secret garden and many more.

Trips from the resort are plentiful with paragliding, which is great to boat trips to Jeep Safaris. The Jeep safari is a must, a really great day out. A bit of advise if you get a price in pounds, pay in pounds , some do try to rip you off!!

Shopping is good although it has gone up alot from previous years. Designer jeans are a must to buy and we recommend Trotters who have really great quality.

Generally Dlu Deniz is a lovely resort and we can't wait to go back next year.
