Attached to the Hotel is a bar, well worth sitting here at night - only thing is your all-inclusive option stops the moment you go past reception so drinks aren't free here.

OLU DENIZ is a pretty resort nestled below the mountain.
It is pretty much a family resort.."YOB FREE ZONE"
Watch out for the paragliders landing on the beach and promenade.
I was always led to believe that Turkey was cheap but I think OLU DENIZ is an upmarket resort or it's gearing up for possible entry to the E.E.C.
My friends tell me that Fetiye and Challis are cheaper.
Best to go All Inclusive.

Resort was lovely with loads of restuarants and bars. Great beach with lots of sunbeds which are 5 lira each and 5 lira for brolly. Recommend you take sand shoes as shingle at end of sea and once in sea. Be careful if taking children as sea dips all of a sudden in places.
Eating out great, would recommend TOCANA italian, ANFORA and SULTAN PEPPER. All good food and friendly staff.
Lots of karoke bars, plenty of shops and some good icecream. Staff at shops weren,t as pushy as we were told they were.
Great place would return.

One of the nicest things (and we’ve never returned to the same place twice) was being remembered from the year before, for people to remember your names, where you come from etc etc was a new experience for us, but the people are so friendly and welcoming.
we much prefer to venture down into Olu and eat at the wonderful places. We actually went to Captain Hooks and Sultan Ahmets for many repeat visits, the food excellent. Visit to Buzz but while nice, we weren’t that impressed. Although they do a lovely take away kebab which was great value and incredibly tasty!
We also ate a couple of times at Cherry Chows, the first time the meal was lovely as was the service, the second time it wasn't, the food was not as good and we were hurried and pushed out. The guy in charge was really not interested in smaller tables, wanting them to be hurried out and not to stop other people dining. This was really offputting as he kept walking around the table while you were eating, and they even tried to take away my sons meal before he had even finished!!! Wouldn't go back to this place at all!
We did notice that prices had increased on last year, starters averaged about 5-7 YTL, main courses were between 12-24 YTL, some restaurants doing 3 courses for around similar amounts. Efes was around 5 YTL in most places, soft drinks again were the things that pushed it up, although water still cheap everywhere.
We had a wonderful trip out to Dalyan and a trip booked through Bloody Gorgeous on their boat trip, however, the lunch was poor and the trip wasn’t as nice we felt as the one we had last year going out of Fethiye, much preferred the 12 island trip than the one from OIu.
We paid a visit to Sugar beach (collected) sunbeds as on the main beach are 5 YTL each, as are the umbrellas. The food there was good and fairly reasonably priced, but they do now charge for the childrens play area which was 7.5 YTL for all day use. It was empty, and seemed a shame that the kids couldn’t use it without paying. Do be careful if you want transport back to the hotel, they now have set times for the bus to take people up to Hisaronu, this meant there was a large crowd of people waiting, and they got priority, we walked back in the end, which in that heat it can seem a long way.
The main beach, we love, even though its pebbly and shelves steeply into the sea, 5 YTL charge for sunbeds etc. But we loved the beach in the early evening, going to lounge on the beanbags and having a cocktail watching the sunset! Bliss!
Weather was beautiful and incredibly hot, (Not complaining tho!) we actually thought the August heat would be a killer but although temps in the day out in the sun were 50’c + we didn’t find it unbearable, but we did get burnt on the last day, so do be careful even if you’ve already tanned through the week!
Spent evenings at Shadows bar and if you’ve been to Olu you’ll remember the “excuse meeee” guy # they really are a friendly bunch, and their karaoke and sparkler show. They also had the breakdancers on here who were actually really good. We also went here to watch the footie while we were away!
All in all, Olu was just as beautiful as we remembered from our first holiday, and it was hard having to come back home once again. Although I would love to go again next year, I think it may be time for a change, but we will return,
Cannot recommend Olu enough, although if you want a clubbing atmosphere Hisaronu may be the place more for you, although it is only a short dolmus away.
Also, if you want the market, they have it in Hisaronu on a Monday, its slightly smaller than when it is at Fethiye, but just the same and easier as not so spread out, which in the heat of the summer is always a bonus, we went on our own rather than any trips to the market so you aren’t rushed. But apart from Dalyan and the boat trip, we didn’t venture out of Olu much. For my son (7) and I, it really is one of the most perfect places, full of friendly welcoming people, wonderful places to eat, a few places to shop, and you can sit with a nice cold Efes and watch the world go by . . .how I wish were were there now!

Very clean and well thought out the paragliders can be a pain if your not paying attention but apart from this the front is clean and tidy.
not much hastle from shop or stall holders which made a pleasent change from other resorts we have visited.
A little more expensive than we thought it would be but if you shop around bargains are still to be had.

this is one of the pretiest resorts with stunning views, however, having ben three times now i did notice on ths visit that the strets and the beach are littered with rubish which are not cleaned as regularly as they were.
as for entertainment there is so much to do from this resort and all activities are really good value.
i would definatly go back again but hope that the cleanliness issue is resolved or it coud spoil what is a really beautiful resort.

Olu Deniz is the best resort I have visited and I would say I am pretty well travelled. There is lots to do ranging from Jeep rides, site seeing mud baths Island trips (recommended) Paragliding Quad Biking and the list goes on and they mostly range from around £20 per head per day and this usually includes lunch.
After dark the promenade lights up and chairs bean bags and candle lit tables fill the beach where couples can watch the amazing sunset. The shops are well stocked with souveniers for everyone and the Turkish are hilarious in their efforts to help you buy what you want, but I would say not to pushy or rude as I have experienced in the past in other countries. Buzz Beach Bar lives up to Reputation with food and cocktails but very busy need to book to get a table. Would I go back - Oh Yes

Resort is clean and brightly lit in the main areas and since our first visit in 2004 they have added more bars and restaurants / hotels on the outer streets. The resort in general is fast catching up with other Mediteranean resorts in that you have to look on the outskirts for a cheap beer etc. Some of the restaurants are charging 5 YTL for a pint and the comment about alcohol in general is no longer cheap is quite valid. The resort seems to be moving towards a noisier manner with 2 karaoke bars and a numer of bars where the only entertainment is the staff dancing endlessly on the bar. Good fun once but truly boring after a while - every night. One or two of the local restaurant owners didnt seem to like the trend either. I think some of the businesses were suffering because the brits were not impressed with the cost of things and as such wernt buying as they did a few years ago. The resort is very nice and the restaurants by and large are very good and reasonable and it would be a shame if it became like its neighbour Hisaranou as with the two resorts being in close proximity you have the best of both worlds for the cost of a cheap dolmush. Focus Jeep Safari was great fun for those willing to get wet which in truth keeps you cool and they also did a two tiered boat trips for groups of about 8 or more which we found was really good that ran out of Fetihe.

Olu Deniz is amazing, I can not praise it enough, beautiful beach and the lagoon is brilliant-take a snorkel as the water is crystal clear. If you want to do an excursion go with seaside tours on the main strip, don't let you rep rip you off, they'll tell you that the street vendors have no insurance and are dangerous but this is not true we went on one trip with eftelya and another with seaside and both were great.
Eat at Help in the day or night, Buzz is lovely as is the olive grove which is round the corner from the main strip, try the lamb mmmmmmmm. Crusoes is good for cocktails and music.
Try the dolmus and explore the area they are cheap and mostly all air conditioned. have a great time

Olu Deniz is beautiful, it has a blue lagoon which you pay £1.50 to go in but it is worth it to swim in it. In the blue Lagoon on the other side there is a beach called sugar beach which manzara hotel provide a free bus to take you there and back and it is free to get in so that is a really nice day out too. There are always handgliders inthe sky and it costs around £65 to do, we didnt take enough money but it did look fun! The beaches are a little bit stoney/grainy apart from the sugar beach which is alot more sandy. There are also lots of shops and bars by the beach front which are nice to visit at night-time.
I would also reccommend the market, we went to one in hirsonu which is there every monday (£1 bus ride away) this was good for cheap fake handbags.

This was our sixth visit to Olu Deniz and the resort is like paradise. There are plenty of places to eat and drink and we found the prices not to expensive. We did notice that the resort was quieter than usual.
We will be going back soon as we have now made many friends wwho live there.
