The actual apartment itself was lovely. The maintenance staff were lovely. But I can't recommend for a relaxing holiday or enjoyable time by the pool...

We just love Puerto Rico.
Everyone is very friendly although sometimes you do get sick of being hassled. Beach is nice and it only takes 15mins to walk to Amadores where the beach is lovely. Lots of entertainment in Commercial Centre but we prefer to go to beach front. It is so relaxing on an evening harbour lights is a nice little bar on a terrace where you can look out over the harbour and get reasonably cheap drinks. Try a baileys cocktail the nicest I have ever had.
Take a boat to Mogan its lovely there hope you love Puerto Rico as much as we do

Didnt see any rubbish. Good bars and steak houses in main shopping centre Puerto Rico. Try 007 and the Boogie Boogie bar with Juan(lovely bloke)they are the cheapest best steak house. Try El Toro upstairs massive meals great service. Linekers is great fun.
For dancing try the Garage but you must try them all and find out for yourself. Beaches are great never saw any litter, plenty of bins.
I love Amadores try out the Flippers cafe and have a Flipper Baguette - it's fantastic cant wait till we return.

This was our second visit to Puerto Rico and we will, more than likely be returning.
The resort itself is very clean with enough bars and restaurants to suit any taste. The majority of bars and restaurants are located in either the Commercial Centre or Europa Centre, both of which can be very noisy and attract people selling watches/roses etc. or people trying to coax you into their bar/restaurant, this can be annoying and is best avoided. We found it was best deciding where to go before-hand and then walking quickly through. This resort is especially good if you like Irish bars as there are plenty and there are a couple of discos open till very late.
Puerto Rico beach is clean and tidy although Amadores Beach, just around the corner was more picturesque and spacious.
Overall, Puerto Rico has something for everyone, whether you want to be out of the 'hussle and bussle' or in the centre of it !!

I was surprised at how dirty the paths were in puerto rico other places we have stayed in the paths hve been well cleaned.
The europa centre had some lovely resturants in and a good size supermarket. The down side to puerto rico is the time share touts, we got caught twice, the first was to the anfi.
This was absolutly fantastic if you get the chance to go but don't go with the reps as you only get 45 euros off booked excursions. If you go with one of the touts you get gifts raging from caps, bottles of spirits, cigeretts,etc. the second was with scratch cards, they give you the impression you are the only winner of a holiday, camera,or laptop, before you know it you are in a taxi and whisked off to god knows where to a timeshare place which I must stress is not mentioned before.
When you get there is about twenty other people with the same prize tickets and all you get is a 'free' holiday which in the end costs you. So be warned.

Surrounded by steep hills which made it very difficult for walking and too far from the shops.
Everywhere you went you were touted by shopkeepers and street sellers which was a real pain by the end of the week we were avoiding several areas because we didn't want the hassle.

Europa centre catered for all ages,lots of cheap eateries and bars mixed with more up markets places. Chez Funny Boy, Slow boat, Caribe for massive steaks, Oscars on sea front just a few to mention worth a visit.
Although we personally found problems with staff at some bars and eateries annoying in their attempts to get you in to their bars, which made us tend to eat away from centre more down at beach and over at Amodores beach, 25 min slow walk but well worth it.
Bus it out to Mogan 2.50 euro,s p.person
Enjoy hassle free stroll round for lunch then take glass bottom ferry back 5.50 euro,s p person back to Puerto Rico.

The resort is very clean and has every thing you could need.
The taxi's are very easy to find and take you everywhere at a very cheap price.
Amadores beach is lovely with very clear water and fish swimming at your feet. It has great bars and places to eat are very reasonable.
At the harbour you can try any water sport you fancy from parascending to the banana boats.

Puerto Rico is an excellent resort, especially if you like a lively nightlife, with 2 main commercial centres, the europa at the top and a larger 1 at the bottom.
The cheapest bar we found was m&m,s with a beer costing 90 cent and most bottles 1 euro.If you like chinese or steak houses ther are plenty to choose from and reasonably priced to.The best beach we found was Amadores very clean and tidy.
The only thing you have to be on your guard with are the lucky lucky men with there gold and sunglasses, they do mither you but if you say no they usualy walk away.
On the whole an excellent holiday.

Puerto Rico very nice depends what type of holiday you are after.
You get a lot of hassle off promotions people/restaurants, but apart from that ok not a lot to do with young kids plenty of nice little pitch-n-putts.
Best place to eat Rembrants above Hawaii bar lovely little place to visit is Porto Mogan great Irish bar there too.
