The actual apartment itself was lovely. The maintenance staff were lovely. But I can't recommend for a relaxing holiday or enjoyable time by the pool...

My boyfriend had stayed here before and I was happy to visit it. I was very pleased with it.
It was over 30 degrees everyday and the Amadores beach which wasn't too far away, and was along a lovely little cliff path, was gorgeous. We went there everyday and it was very pleasing.
People were friendly and helpful and we went on an organised trip to a waterpark with the help of a tourist info centre. The town was clean- i even saw street cleaners sweeping by hand!
Plenty of zebra crossings and a subway to make things safe for tourists. The only down side I would say, is if you don't like people perstering you, there are people outside all restaurants and bars trying to get you into their bar or restaurant. There are also people trying to sell you watches or wanting to plait your hair. We just told them we had already eaten or hadn't eated yet- depending who it was to!
In general I would say the place was lovely - and had eveything you need and more. I would definitely go again.

Puerto Rico was very clean and tidy.
Entertainment was great - there was something for everyone - day and night!!!
Puerto Rico beach was a little dirty, but Amadores was lovely - very clean and the sea was very clear. The sand was thick grained and a little hard on your feet.
Would definately go back to Puerto Rico!!!

Puerto Rico is undoubtedly the place to go for a cracking holiday. There are great bars and you can eat very very cheaply so it's particularly good for anyone on a tight budget.
We spent most of our time in the Europa Centre and we can really recommend Le Chef for food (John the Scottish PR guy is great cos he's not pushy and Abell the waiter looks after you very well indeed). Bar wise it has to be the Turbo where Bev and her staff create a great atmosphere but be warned don't be tempted to give them any lip as they don't take any prisoners.
Out and about you have loads of choice. If you like markets you have three to choose from with the best day out being Puerto Mogan on a friday. We found that getting a bus there and the ferry back is a good option and in total cost less that 7euros each(the holiday companies charge 21)
The beach at Puerto Rico is excellent but if you feel really adventurous get the bus up to Playe del Ingles and walk back down the beach to Faro lighthouse. This takes you past the famous sand dunes which is a great to see but as there is a stretch of nudist beach before you get that far your eyesight may have failed by then.
The Waterpark at Maspolomas is good fun for all ages and there is a smaller one in Puerto Rico near the town centre which has less facilities but is on the doorstep.
The biggest problem is being pestered by the timeshare reps.Don't fall for the scratchcard caper as you win very time and end up being shown round places that the Beckhams could just about afford. Apart from that this is a great resort and I would go back tomorrow(my boss probably wishes I would)

Playa amodores beach was about 30 minutes walk away from the resort and it was a lovely beach, the children loved it there, the other beach was 563 steps away from the resort, this beach was bigger and had different water sports going on all day long.

It was the first time I had been to Puerto Rico although my family have been a few times before. I really liked it, we had loads of good meals and cheap drinks. Our accommodation was really handy for the commercial centre. If you go down the lift to the first floor you can go out the back gate and walk down to the commercial centre and you can get back in the same way as long as you have your room card (this accommodation is so handy for the commercial centre). We had really good meals in Churchills, Tex Mex and also at Terrazamar where they do a really good breakfast and also good meals at night. They have an a la carte menu there and also bbq's. M & M's in the commercial centre do really cheap drinks, cocktails for only 2 euros, pints of lager for only 90 cents (same prices all day).
We went on a dolphin trip from the harbour (see the 2nd dolphin stall along which takes you out on a 2 hour trip) we saw loads of baby dolphins which was brilliant and only cost 15 euros for adults and 8 for children under 14, if we had gone on the shorter trip we wouldn't have seen any though as they were quite far out.
We also went on a couple of boat trips to Mogan which was a nice trip and only cost 9 euros return, the market is on a Friday there. Mogan is very picturesque.
We would definitely go back to this resort and accommodation again.

Resort very clean. Music at night very loud. Beach is clean and very hot to walk on in the summer months so beware.

The Babalu was in excellant distance to the surrounding shops and entertainment outlets and we enjoyed the mini-golf.
Our bed was broken and despite asking for a replacement, one was never provided.the overnight staff were rude,in fact, the only pleasant person was the cleaning lady.
The beaches were superb and the taxis are wonderfully cheap but despite that, we shall not be going back.

Great place, pity about the timeshare people but after a day or so the recognise you and leave you in peace.
Great compact resort loads to do and great choice of food.

Amadores beach is the jewel in the crown. Spotless beach with excellent facilities on site.
Plenty of great restraunts and bars to suit all. Suited more to families than the young "clubbers" who may prefer Playa De Ingles.
Spent 16 weeks in total in this resort over the years on various dates between May and September and have yet to see more than a couple of cloudy days in total. Wall to wall sunshine being the norm.

I have been to Perto Rico many times and would recomend it.
Its a very clean resort and the scenery is beautiful.
You tend to get a bit put off by the waiters trying to get you into their restaurants but I found that by saying I had already eaten we were left alone.
