Best steak house TEX MEX or the American Indian who do a steak in Jack Daniels sauce. Chinese food try The Sunshine. Indian try the one near crazy golf on the front. If you want fish go to old town where the fish come right of the boat into the pan.

If you are visiting during the winter months then ask reception for extra warm blankets for the cold nights and also ask for the WiFi code ....
Plenty of food places to try although buffet places charge high costs on soft drinks with your meal ..

Pool side apartments mean kids can just go and play while being watched from the apartment.

Felt very safe in resort did not appear to see any ticket touts as warned.
Restaurants very good something for everyone although all seem to be run by the lani's group.
Everyone welcomes children , they are catered for very well.

Beach maintenance excellent and cleaned every day with ongoing rubbish being picked up all day. However what let the resort down badly was the filthy pavements which were not cleaned during the time we were there, dog excrement (everywhere!) and uncovered bins which were not pleasant in 90 degree + heat.
Lot of really dross eateries and easy to be ripped off but places like Benitos on the port and Restaurant Ola made it a pleasure to eat out. Got a bit sick of the street selling and trying to pull you into bars, eateries etc...
Best entertainment we found was a real suprise and that was a drag queen show 'titty trollopes' which was excellent family fun with good food and reasonable drinks. Absolutely brilliant fun. The Catamarang trip is a bit expensive but not to be missed.
I won't go back to Puerto Del Carmen as it's too Blackpool for me but will visit Costa Teguise again.

Resort was clean and tidy. Pavement were wide enough for prams . Plenty of nice restuarants a bars that would suit couples, families and singles. Not too busy. The beach was clean and not too overcrowded

Puerto Del Carmen, lovely place for families and couples mostly not a really mad group holiday place.
There are plenty of really nice places to eat such as New World Chinese, Lani's Indian down past the Casino on the right and the Grapevine my personal favorite beside the Mucky Duck.
There is plenty of night life Central Atlantico has a few good bars Fire, Big Apple. Also for live entertainment you can not beat Mulligan's (Collie Farrell, ex Usual Suspects, is brilliant!) and 928 is the place to be for a good drink good music and friendly staff (Lucy and Alex!)
The beach is lovely despite the black sand but can get very busy during the day. The resort is clean but the paths could do with fixing as there are a lot of holes and cracks in the pavements to be wary of. The PR's can get very annoying also but I suppose you get this everywhere.
I will definitely be going back to Lanzarote next year it may have been my first time but certainly not my last!

Puerto del carmen is a lovely resort we were in the older part of the town which was quite cheaper their was something for everyone and I would recommend the submarine safaris in Puerto Calero (which is beautiful).
The purple turtle is a fantastic pub/eatery and entertainment.
The shopping was fantastic especially with Zara and other shops similar.
The begining of the fiesta gave a good insight to canarian culture. However this place is not for those with walking difficulties or use of a wheel chair the pavement is quite slippy under foot and high in places.

On the main strip of Puerto del Carmen there are too many to count resturants and bars.
Whatever type of food you want from Mexican to English not forgetting the numerous Chinese. In the old town around the harbour there are lots of fish dishes on all menus.
Can be a little cool in the evening due to a constant breeze. For those of you who like your English breakfast there is certainly no shortage of restaraunts serving this.
Lots of shops on main strip but mostly selling the same gifts good electrical bargains to be had always be prepared to barter they will always have a special price for the day lots of leather shoes and handbag stores.

Although we enjoyed the cleanliness of the New Town we did feel that the area lacked sufficient entertainment. We were hard pushed to find bars that provided live entertainment on an evening. We did visit Titty Trollops one evening and found that to be of excellent value. This part of the town lacks this sort of entertainment and there should be more bars etc. like this in this part of the resort.

PDC is quieter than Playa Del Ingles et al but has something for every-one. The beaches are good, the resort is suitable for the party animal and the couple alike.
There are two resorts in one, the Old Town is less glitzy but overlooking the Harbour whilst eating your Dorada fish and papas arrugadas in Puerto Bahia resturaunt is blissful.
We are a young(ish) couple (a hair over 30) and it suited us down to the ground, though we saw all ages catered for.
