If you are visiting during the winter months then ask reception for extra warm blankets for the cold nights and also ask for the WiFi code ....
Plenty of food places to try although buffet places charge high costs on soft drinks with your meal ..

Pool side apartments mean kids can just go and play while being watched from the apartment.

We stayed in the old town of Puerto del carmen which was really nice there was plenty of resturants, bars and entertainment and a nice harbourside.
The new town is about a 15 - 20 minute walk and there's a big shopping centre on the way which has crazy golf on the roof. The beach is in the new town and there is loads of pubs, clubs and shops running the lengh of it.
We went on a coach trip to see the south of the island which was great, it takes you to see fire mountain and you can go for a camel ride up the mountains.
A very good resort which was spotless.

The old town is wonderful, especially the harbour. There is a small area of bars need the quay side that has a play area for small children that is surrounded by bars. Obviously you have to get there early as this is a popular area.
The new town is lovely, lots of choice for late night bars and restaurants, though I found the whole island very expensive.

The place to be has to be the old town harbour. the food at la dolce vito, is excellent & great value for money.
We spent a lot of time at, bourbon street, & the pink pussy cat, which are just after the taxi rank as you walk towards the harbour. if you go onto the main front you'll find all your lively disco bars & clubs. Routa 66 is probably the loudest around.
The beaches around that area are more shallow,so the kids can run & splash about to thier hearts content. If you love to sun bathe, the remainder of the beach is perfectly spotless. I would reccommend Puerto del Carmen to any sun loving, fun happy, family orientated, holiday maker.

The resort was clean and the beach was impecably clean with loads of space. Bars were fantastic especially the Tropical bar with huge wide screens showing music videos and a dance floor which accommodated both adults and children. Would return!

There is plenty going on in Puerto Del Carmen for any age!
The resort is very clean and the promenade offers a leisurely walk all the way to the old town.
Long clean stretch of beach with plenty of sun beds.
The restaurants we liked were Pinocchios, La Dolce Vita and Lani's (8 of them in total!!). We also had a nice meal overlooking the harbour in the old town where the King Prawns were to die for!!
Our fave bar was Ruta 66 which had great music and a dance floor. Staff in here were friendly and efficient.
If you get the chance go the Music Hall Tavern for a great nights entertainment - we booked this at our Welcome meeting.
