Near the Andorra are a group of bars. Check out The Soul Bar. Also The Restaurant Margarita -really good food. Great music especially by Mikey Mike who works in both places.

The hotel has non stop entertainment. There is always something available to keep you entertained. Every room is in good location.

All rooms are good in this quite hotel with most having sea views
Avoid booking a studio without stipulating 'NOT FACING THE WALL' as we were allocated a room looking directly at a high wall 12' from our balcony even although we had requested a sea or pool view. Check directly with the hotel well in advance.

Playa de las Americas is what you expect Blackpool in the sun, great value for money and fun for all ages. At the end of the day you get what you pay for.

The resort is FANTASTIC, clean and full of everything to do. REMEMBER to go to the beach (via the hotels back staircase from the pool area) and turn left! There is a great restaurant called BENTLEYS which will serve you everything British! even a cup of PG Tips if required. Also at the far end of the prom is the best Italian Ice Cream bar you will ever taste.
All said and done I would visit this resort again in years to come BUT I would seek a "real" 4 star hotel.

The resort itself was very good with plenty for all the family to do. Lots of bars and restautrants within easy walking distance and you could choose how quiet or noisy you wanted to be. We walked to playa de las americas once which took about 40 minutes and were glad we weren't staying there!

Plenty to do in both playa de las americas and los cristianos. We had a car so made life a lot easier when travelling out for evening meals etc. was looking forward to going to the new water park 'siam park' but unfortunately opening date was delayed from summer 2007 to 2008 due to the forest fires. Aqualand still a good treat for all the family. Plenty of clean beaches to play on. Good restaurants to be found in both playa fanabe (bentleys) and los cristianos.

The resort was really nice found a lovely little pub just down from the hotel, I called it the sunset pub as it was right on the beach front, it never got busy as they only had about 12 table 6 in the front row and 6 behind and what fantastic views of the sunset each evening.

the resort of fanabe has something for everyone - there is food to suit every taste at very reasonable prices
the beach has every watersport imaginable and every facility you would want

Shopping:
The resort itself had a great supermarket across the road which sold pretty much everything. Shops underneath the complex were fine but I'm not into bargaining with people and I found that you couldn't look around without someone approaching you. If you are into designer shopping then there's plenty for you.
Kids:
There was no kids club so you were left with the pool and (poor) beach. We found a very small playground in the second week heading in towards Las Americas. All in all I wouldn't recommend this resort to people with young families.
Food:
Again we love seafood and found the restaurants lacking. We found two good restaurants in the centre. 1. Indian - Star of Asia and 2. The American Diner (yummy deserts). But after that nothing memorable and I can honestly say I am sick of looking at chips. Price wise I think it's the same as home. We were ripped off one night in a place called The White Elephant. The waiter dropped a glass and we had to insist he clean it up, we were waiting and hour for our starters and 2 and a half hours later(with still no main courses) my husband told them to forget the mains and give us the bill - he was so fed up he just paid it and when we looked at it later we discovered they had added things on we didn't have. Stay away!
Beach:
My husband and daughter did the paragliding which they both loved. The first week we hired a pedalo for 9 euro for the hour. My mum came on it with us so there was 3 adults and 2 kids - the guy said we could have up to 8 people. Fair enough. The second week same number of people and a different guy (same place) told us we couldn't take more than 4 people and wanted to charge us 9 euro per two people!
Overall I don't think this particular resort is suitable for people with young families but hopefully if you're booked to go there you'll feel different.
I know I won't return.

did not venture out of hotel much on an evening as there was plenty going on so did not see much of resort entertainment. visited beach several times during holiday which was very clean and tidy. a visit to loro parque is a must a really fantastic day out.

Beach at las vistas was brilliant, we went there several times over the 2 weeks we were in resort.
We didn't really see much entertainment in resort as there was always something on where we stayed.
Try surfers bar for lunch, you won't be disappointed!
Plenty of restaurants around with mainly the same menus, but different prices.
A must see is the dancing fountains at safari shopping centre. It is a really good show.
We went on the freebird catamarran trip to see the whales and dolphins, and that was well worth the money.
We will definitely be returning next year.

the resort is pretty clean but when you have a very large number of holidaymakers there is a bit of rubbish here and there but the streets are cleaned.there are lots of acts in most of the bars and hotels so there is something for everyone.although volcanic the beaches in this area are black but they are constantly importing sand to make the beaches as good as possible.
