Near the Andorra are a group of bars. Check out The Soul Bar. Also The Restaurant Margarita -really good food. Great music especially by Mikey Mike who works in both places.

All rooms are good in this quite hotel with most having sea views
Avoid booking a studio without stipulating 'NOT FACING THE WALL' as we were allocated a room looking directly at a high wall 12' from our balcony even although we had requested a sea or pool view. Check directly with the hotel well in advance.

The shops in this area are fantastic. The safari centre is really good and the likes of Zara and Mango are so much cheaper than back home.
For places to eat I recommend The Rovers Return, The Hole in the Wall, The Surfers Barand The Chieftain. The Hole in the Wall is also good for entertainment each night and the staff are really friendly.
We tried Tony Roma's one night which is famous for ribs and located next to Mango. We thought it would be really nice - especially for the price but it didn't live up to our expectations so I don't recommend going at all.
We walked along the beachfront some days to Los Cristianos and also went to the market there but the aisles were so small so you can't look properly and have to be wary of pickpocketers. Also along this beachfront in particular you get pestered by timeshare but they tell you that it's discount tickets for the shops! We just ignored them all the time and walked past them.
At night, the Chinese women and the African men try and get you to buy light up toys, watches, bags and fake sunglasses or get you to have your hair braided but if you just say no then they walk past. However there is one guy called Bobby who spends most of his time in the Hole in the Wall and even though he sells watches and fake sunglasses and bags, he is so funny because he sings along to the singers' songs and dumps all his stuff on you and then walks off to talk to someone else! If you see him you won't stop laughing!!
On a Thursday there is a market in Toviscas which is a short taxi ride away. It sell basically the same things as the market in Los Cristianos but it's easier to walk around as the aisles are wider.
I recommend Tenerife to all ages as there is something for everybody and I wouldn't hesitate to go back.

Playa las Americas needs a good clean.
Hastled every step down Veronicas strip by lucky lucky, hair braiding and people trying to get you into bars and restaurants.
La Vistas was very nice

We stayed in Playa da las Americas. Its got everything for young and old. Beaches were lovely and clean plenty of bars and shops. Veronica's strip was a no go area for us especially at night didn't feel safe. We would defiantly return again.

the resort was nice and clean in most areas, but try to avoid the scratch card touts as they will mither you all day everyday.the beach was a 10 min stroll downhill, the beach was clean and the water shallow for the kids.if you use any of the beds on the beach be prepared to pay 4 euros for each bed per day. we went to the aqua park while on holiday the dolphine show was fantastic, we also did loro parque this is also a good day out for the kids the orka show was a personal favourate all in all the holiday was good but hated the hotel food and would not go back to this hotel

The island seems very clean and well looked after its so much cleaner than any place iv ever been too
Theres bars and restraunts every where and each one is differnt but all great entertainment
The beach is also very clean they have black sand over there and is good for fishing. You can also rent out boats weither its a motor or pedal boat
Again i would like to go back
(note there are alot of people handing out leaflets and will talk to you for ages the easiest way to avoide them is not to look at them and when they speak just say "good luck with that" and walk on

We stayed at the caledonia park which was on a really steep hill opposite the aqua park, the location wasn't to bad to get to the local shops bars and pubs about a 5/10 min walk. once in the center there was plenty shops bars and restaurants to visit, but it wasn't over crowded with people. the beach was lovely it wasn't black sand as i expected the beach is only quite small and again it wasn't overly busy, there is also a kids activity park in the sea which was great for the older kids. this area was really nice and i would consider visiting this part of tenerife again.

It's great for shopping and we always felt safe in the area. It's a lovely place to wander and take in the atmosphere.
