Near the Andorra are a group of bars. Check out The Soul Bar. Also The Restaurant Margarita -really good food. Great music especially by Mikey Mike who works in both places.

All rooms are good in this quite hotel with most having sea views
Avoid booking a studio without stipulating 'NOT FACING THE WALL' as we were allocated a room looking directly at a high wall 12' from our balcony even although we had requested a sea or pool view. Check directly with the hotel well in advance.

Not a speck of litter to be seen on the streets anywhere.
Lots of good restaurants to chose from in the evening. A bit of a pain trying to walk around during the day as a lot of hassle from time share touts with their "lucky" cards.
Lots of good shops and most of them stay open until 10pm so we went out when the touts went home (about 5pm)
The promenade is beautiful to stroll along and you can do the "Geranium walk" from Adeje to Los Cristianos in a 2 hour saunter.

I have been holidaying in this area for the last ten years and I have to say that this will be my last. I am going off to find somewhere else after my experiences of last week. This resort has been going downhill for the last 3 years and it has now hit the bottom and wont be coming back up.
We went as a family group with a mixed age range from 9 years to early 50's. We are middle income, self employed people who are law abiding and polite. We are respectable and do not expect trouble when we are on holiday. We also expect the law enforcement bodies of our European brothers ro afford us some consideration as well as protection.
My 21 year old son went out to the Veronicas club area with another lad from a family we often spend time with in Tenerife. They lost each other during the evening and so my son decided to walk home back alone. It was only 1/2 mile along the 'patch' - but he was robbed at knifepoint on the way.
He had a knife held to him whilst they took his wallet & cards. Then he was thrown to the ground, badly grazing his arms and face. The robber was black - the same as the ones that try to sell you things at your restaurant tables.
By the time he got back to us they had processed his card (still trying to find out how) and stolen his money from his bank account. I stopped the card immediately with the banks in the uk and tried to contact the poice, without success.
I spent the whole of the next day trying to file a police report. The reception staff called to say the police had contacted them and they had found his wallet with his keycard, bank card & driving licence. I was relieved, until I got to the poice station and they only gave me his bank card & driving licence back. They claimed that there was nothing else found - but they had traced him through his keycard, so they must have decided to pocket everything else. They then lost the ability to speak English as well.
They sent me to another police station to report the robbery, but when I got there, they couldnt(or wouldn't) speak English either and just walked away. Eventually, through a stranger, they directed me to a hospital, saying we had to get a hosipital report.
Once there, I had to pay 72 Euros, even though we had our E111 card and I have fully comp travel insurance that showed there was no excess payable locally.
After this I was given a telephone number for the police. I then did speak to someone in English who took the details over the phone. They gave me a report number and that was it. No help at all. Not remotely interested.
We are left with a complete feeling of indignation at their indifference. And anger of course. Would a Canarian or Spanish person expect the same treatment if they were in the UK - I think not.
To add insult to injury - on our last night, we walked into Christianos for a meal. We were accosted at the table by many of these black sellers and we told them politely to go away. But one of them became very abusive and agressive - he began swearing and threatening my 17 year old daughter, who was terrified. All 10 of us at the table had to leave our places at the table to remove him and we were then concerned that he would return with reinforcements and continue the attack. The restaurant owners looked terrified too, but kept away.
We had a worrying walk back to our apartment and I think this was the last straw.
Be warned!!!! This must happen all the time. Dont let it be you!

The hotel is well placed for all amenities with a reasonable walk to two different beaches one of which is particularly nice. There is an abundance of shopping centres, restaurants and bars to choose from. I would highly recommend Linares III on the Avda. Santiago Puig, for a very substantial cheap breakfast or a good 3 course evening meal and the staff there are most accommodating and helpful. Thankfully we didnt encounter too many timeshare touts but that may change in high season

Costa Adeje is a lovely, clean resort. El Ducque is on one side and Playa de las Americas on the other. The timeshare touts are annoying in Las Americas but in the end we just ignored them totally. Loads of bars, restaurants and the usual tourist shops. Peurto Colon, just 10 minute walk, has a good inflateable play area in the sea, supervised by lifeguards, our son loved this. All foods and drinks are very reasonably priced and much cheaper than the UK.
We thoroughly enjoyed our Easter break and intend to return in August.

we feel the entertainment is poor + amateur+ becoming saturated with little greasy bars everywhere + little class = not good value for money any more
