All rooms are good in this quite hotel with most having sea views
Avoid booking a studio without stipulating 'NOT FACING THE WALL' as we were allocated a room looking directly at a high wall 12' from our balcony even although we had requested a sea or pool view. Check directly with the hotel well in advance.

Avoid like the plaque its dirty and unclean and the pool area was dirty and un safe the stairs leading in the pool was broken I had to complain about it

My top tip is to get the bus from the airport as it stops at the top of the road by Magna Building save on transfers

we thought las americas to be very clean and tidy and al;so a good police presence gave us a reassurance even patrolling the beach area almost every 10 minutes

Was not taken with playa de las americas at all thought it was dirty, tacky, small and generally nasty !
If i got a euro for every bar that had roy chubby brown playing at ten thousand decibels i would be very rich !

I found the resort very expensive but if you like cheap food and drink then you will gat value for your money.
A lot of PRs for the pubs and resturants arount the resort and there are really annoying and wont take No for an answer.

This has been our third visit this year to Tenerife and we still enjoy going. Plenty to do and loads of places to walk to.
We caught the bus at bus station and went to Puerto de la Cruz as relatives are there. Its cheaper to get a bono card from bus station, only downside loads of people asking you to come in for a drink/something to eat, we said no thanks and it was accepted, just be firm.

Absolutely lovely resort. Loads and loads and loads of shops. Great range of bars, restaurants, pubs, grills etc and a nice beach. Only 15 minutes transfer time from the airport.

The only problem is the ticket touts , scrach card central, do not take one.

We were in a perfect location as between Las Americas and Los Cristianos a 10 min walk away so plenty of restaurants to choose from! The first day we walked into Las Americas and decided to stay out as long as we could(as we had been up since 4am and knew wouldn't be a late night anyway!) As a result we managed to get most of the happy hours! We also went to a downstairs Jazz/ Blues club called Joes (near the front) which was excellent. Joe (the owner) sang with the live band whilst greeting everyone who walked in. The atmosphere was brilliant even if the drink a little more expensive but def worth it because of the entertainment Not to be missed!

Fabulous.
Fantastic. If you are up for a laugh and a good night out then this is the place to be. If your full of energy, like a boogie and a booze then again this is for you. If you like a quiet drink then do not go to Veronicas.
Definately will be back. I try to visit twice a year.

This resort is great and suitable for people of all ages. We went to the veronicas a few nights which is really busy.Starts getting going around 11pm.If you're young though beware you'll get pestered loads to get in the bars. Sometimes its good to go in with these people though for example in Downunder bar they give you a 2litre jug of vodka and coke and 6 shots each for 12euros.If you want a quieter night there is some really nice restaurants and bars opposite the Mare Nostrum resort and further around the bay heading towards Los Cristianos.Star of Asia- Indian is gorg.There is also lots of shops around this area too, even gucci and really expensive ones as well as the usual shops you get.The resorts really clean and I would recommend it to anyone!

Would I visit this resort again ? Definitely not ! Despite being here four times previous. The reasons . . . It's not the Canarians . . they are wonderful ! It is sadly the British in form of Timeshare Scratchcard Touts. This holiday, they were huge in number and rude and aggresive despite saying a polite No Thankyou when they approached. They approach mainly couples and deal out two scratchcards in which one is crap and one is a big prizewinner. To collect your prize, you have to go on a high pressure visit to a timeshare holiday sales pitch. I witnessed a number of sad people getting into taxis to collect their "Prize". The sooner that these wasters are either jailed or booted off the island, the better ! The huge number of illegal immigrants to the Canaries resulted in being bombarded with street sellers (lucky lucky men) in the pubs on a night time with up to 7 of them in each pub, at any one time at night. Just how can you enjoy your evening out like this, with rubbish sunglasses and cheap kiddy toys being thrust in front of you every two minutes. In previous holidays, I enjoyed Las Americas. The Timeshare Scratchcard Louts ruined this visit . . . Never again !
