Near the Andorra are a group of bars. Check out The Soul Bar. Also The Restaurant Margarita -really good food. Great music especially by Mikey Mike who works in both places.

The hotel has non stop entertainment. There is always something available to keep you entertained. Every room is in good location.

All rooms are good in this quite hotel with most having sea views
Avoid booking a studio without stipulating 'NOT FACING THE WALL' as we were allocated a room looking directly at a high wall 12' from our balcony even although we had requested a sea or pool view. Check directly with the hotel well in advance.

My top tip is to get the bus from the airport as it stops at the top of the road by Magna Building save on transfers

Visited Las Americas in Tenerife many years ago and compared to Lanzarote and Gran Canaria would go there again.
Plenty of nightlife to suit all tastes. Good to go to in the winter as sun is almost guaranteed.
The resort has changed since last visit as in expanding but still would return.

The Veronicas area was grotty and tacky.
The area in the other direction from the apartments is very nice. Los christianos which is only a short taxi run away is beautiful and very clean.
The area in the immediate vacinity of the apartments is unsafe. Do not go down the path at the back of the apartments alone at night. This is a short cut to the main area of shops and restaurants and there are a few unsavoury characters hanging about this area.

The Resort its self is great and certainly would go back to this area again.
Really nice beach, bars and restaurants.
Found all staff to be freindly especially in the restaurants we visited.

What can one say about PDLA which has not already been said. We have been going every year for about the last 15. You have to look for quality restaurants, but they are to be found. Every taste is catered for - Chinese, Indian, American (Tony Romas Ribs), Italian, Greek, Japanese, German - and, if you want it, Spanish.
Loads of bars catering for all tastes. Unfortunately the best (in my view), Brewers Droop was busted by the Bill in January 2006 and is likely to remain closed for at least two months.
The Holiday Club (were Time Share) touts can be a bit of a nuisance, but a polite "No thanks" and an avoidance of eye contact usually works.
A marked increase in English food has now found its way into supermarkets including Jacksons frozen bread in Nettos which stays fresh for days.
I would recommend PDLA to all age groups - young, old and families.

A nice place with lots to do good family entertainment can be found in the evenings at the many British bars.
I can recommend the jeep safari to Mount Teidi. & the catamaran trip to see the Whales & dolphins.
All in all a nice place.

Although hotel is in Las Americas it is far enough away from the disco/nightlife,and is nearer to Los Cristianos perfect location to find relaxing walks ,shops, beaches, bars and this being the cleaner part of the resort.
After mealtimes we tended to stroll down to the front where people tend to mingle around, shopping or eating but a friendly atmosphere all round.
Still plenty of timeshare idiots about during the day but if you just ignore them (don't speak) they don't bother you unless you would like a free trip up the mountain for a free bottle of spirit and waste a day then go ahead and take their market discount vouchers.
We hope to return again for another relaxing holiday at this great hotel and resort next January.

We, my husband & my daughter visited Compostela beach, Playa de las Americas. Nice environment, close to the beach, nice swimming pool.
In the night live entertainment, during the day happy hour and last but not least the friendly people Roy and Mercedes.
We booked direct with them and we did not have such a personal holiday in our life. Fantastic and we come back to this lovely place!
