The actual apartment itself was lovely. The maintenance staff were lovely. But I can't recommend for a relaxing holiday or enjoyable time by the pool...

The resort of Peurto Rico was a delight to visit. It has everything you need and is ideal for all ages.
One problem, and the only one, which we came across was Cockroaches. But what can you expect in such a humid climate?
There was plenty to do around the resort, dining out was no problem and fining entertainment was even easier.
We're not really beach people, we prefer the pool. But we managed to catch a day down there and were satisfied with the beach.

I have been visiting puerto rico for over 10 years the people are lovely. Night life is good but not as many bars as it had 10 years ago.Puerto rico beach is nice and has water spots, i recomend go on the Big red speed boat its great.Just 25 min walk from puerto rico beach to amadores beach.kids will love the aqua park which has just been refurbished,use waterproof sun screen it gets realy hot there.Mini golf, kids park,arcades next to center also Mc Donalds. Excursions:sioux city is great fun book with holiday rep not time share. People with walking difficulties and kids try to stay on the lower part of puerto rico some places have lots of steps but taxi's are very cheap.Also check hotels for lifts not all of them have them. Enjoy your holiday and don't forget to haggle!

We found the resort itself to be ok, quite clean. Lots of entertainment, Blackpool style!. If you like that kind of thing then fine but it doesn't appeal to me. The Beaches are lovely and there are some nice eating places.

4th time in puerto rico for us not alot has changed really. Peurto rico beach still as dirty, would recommend Amadores beach especially to families it is spotless, really clean, restaurants very reasonably priced.
Shops alot cheaper too.

Traveled to this resort at the most popular time xmas found it really clean,not so many claener's this time. Depend's what you want amusments for the kid's bar's bar's have show's also.. Beach great load's of bed's(at a cost) and food and drink available(beach bubbles is a must)..

THE BEACH
We visited Puerto Rico beach and wasn't impressed the sand is awful and gets on your swimwear and is hard to get out.
Wasn't that nice but it was good for all the water sports jet skis etc. do not walk down to the beach there are to many steps and the heat takes it out of you we tried to walk down and back up and struggled its much easier and cheap to get a taxi there.
But we say best go to Amadores beach its much more nicer and the sand is better to. Its not to far in a taxi about 3/4 euros to get there.
SIOUX CITY! was a fab night for the family with cowboys and indians/stunts dancing and free booze hehe well worth the visit.
We found that Puerto Rico didn't offer that much for families as in entertainment, there was shows on at the Colina Mar which we found to be good. Some acts was fab!
You can make your holiday as busy or quiet as you like so try and see if its a place for you? Enjoy!

The resort was very clean, and we felt safe even walking home late at night. Entertainment was good in the main shopping centre - something for everybody.
We didn't actually get on to the beach (we are not sun worshippers!) but it looked fine.
We would visit the resort again.

Better than Playa de Ingles .. but lack of choice in restaurants was offputting for me. Saying that though it is a nice area with nice beach and we had stunning views from our apartment. Only downside is the PR people in the Commercial Centre

This resort is beautiful, although we would not stay at the protonovo again we would go back to puerto rico, there is a new water park that we didnt visit but wish we had as we drove past it on the way bacj to airport and it looked really nice. there are plenty of places to eat, all with childrens menus, however we only found 1 bar, the tropicana, with entertainment for children, which was the same every night. This wouldnt stop us going back though.

The resort is very busy with lots of places to eat.
Lovely harbour and great boat trips out to see dolphins.
