As my dad lives in puerto rico i go there up to 5 times a year abd i love it, there is loads to do for kids the tropicana bar is excellent for kids but also jokers underneath the shopping centre is a great night club, would recommend it to anyone. the beaches are wonderful although on the way down to the beach you do get hasseled by some women who trick you into getting your money so avoid them, there pretty scary too! the whole of puerto rico is so clean street cleaners every morning hardly any rubbish. the weather is hot all year round and i mean very hot so if you dont like hot weather but who dosent then i'd think of a cooler destination. everything is very english the food, bars and people but it is an excellent holiday and i enjoy it everytime i go and never get bored, definitly recommend this holiday!!1

fantastic bars and resturants!the beach club was our favourite eating place,best service my family have seen!would accomodate any party size at a drop of a hat, excellent!
the resort was very clean all week apart from sundays-day of rest for them-the bins were overflowing and stunk fowl!!especially walking around beach area,but that was only sundays.
shops galore,everything you want but watch out for the hustlers- the camera men- get you to buy a camera and then there mate tries to sell you a better one! dont go there!!!they dont take no for an answer!(just dont get violent!!)

Amadores beach is gorgeous,we found puerto rico beach too cramped at times.
The supercat trip was brill,put plenty of suntan on though.
Plenty of restuarants,big portions too so you dont need a starter 1st. Try the 'El Toro' restaurant,lovely steaks.
Watch out for the looky looky men,they pester you to buy watches/glasses off them.

There are lots of good eating places, but we found that the Grand Canaria which is just along a bit from the Vistamar was the best place to eat. We ate there on several occassions as the quality of the food was good and reasonably priced. If you life chienese food there are several eat as much as you like restaraunts in the commercial centre prices about 3euros50 for the kids and under 6 for adults.
The Commercial Centre has a great choice of bars, restaraunts and shops but we found it very harrassing on a night as every other step someone is trying to get you to use their bar or restaraunt. Good tip tho, if you have kids give them a lolly to suck on your way around (makes them think you have already ate).
If you don't want to travel into the centre on a night, Harbourlights holds a quiz and happy hour is from 7-12
The beach across the road is fine but if you fancy a change, about a 10/15 minute walk along the cliff face you get to the Amadores man made beach. Worth a visit as it has a big inflatable in the sea for the kids to go on (5 euro an hour)and also more eating places.
If you like to fish, make sure you take your rod ( kids caught a small baracooda). Vistamar is right next to the harbour. Lots of boat trips to go on if you like that sort of thing. Kids went on banana boats and had a great time (8euros pp and worth the money).
The crazy golf is good, well worth a round (3 to chose from).
Definately going back to the Vistamar.

The Amamores beach is gorgeous. Clean, safe for children to swim and the small bistro's along the edge are clean and good value for money, entertainment is very good in both shopping complexes, but the best one is in the main part of the resort. Time-share got on your nerves a bit but in the second week they start to leave you alone.
Puerto Morgan is a must but the market was a disapointment.

the resort of Puerto Rico has something for everyone, we have been 4 times now. There are lots of family, singles and couples. There are masses of bars, some for a quite drink, others for all night dancing!
There are lots of places to eat, every kind of food you can imagine, Chinese, Spanish, British, Indian etc.
I find Puerto Rico very clean, although you do see the odd cockroach (but thats the same where ever you go!)
The Amadores beach is the only beach in Puerto Rico i have been to, its beautiful, very clean. There is another beach but i cant comment as I always go to Amadores.
I would recommend Puerto Rico to anyone!

Puerto Rico is a lovely part of Gran Canaria, the resort was very clean, all the entertainment you would want for all ages in the commercial or Europa Centres.
The beach was lovely and clean with a variety of water sports and boat trips.
