The actual apartment itself was lovely. The maintenance staff were lovely. But I can't recommend for a relaxing holiday or enjoyable time by the pool...

The resort was fairly clean but there wasn't a lot to looik at. We have been to other canary islands and were far more impressed with them. Gran Canaria is very plain and barran. A lot of it is wasteland.
The entertainment is ok, the best residing in the Puerto Rico shopping centre.
The beach was fine but not as scenic as Tenerife.

The beach was ok, the anfi beach wasn't worth the time going to see it.
The entertainment was fairly good in the centres but apart from that there isn't really anywhere to go.

Travelling as a family of six whose ages ranged from 9 years to 70 years we were aware that the resort we stayed in had to cater for all tastes - and Puerto Rico certainly did that. Beach was fab - take a trip to Amadores just over the headland - about a 15 minute walk - you will feel like you are in the Caribbean. Loads of fantastic places to eat and really good value for money. Our favourite was Mephistos and El Torro a close second - the staff were really friendly and the food excellent. A must is a trip to see the dolphins - well worth the money - what a fantastic experience! We can't wait to go back.

I thought the area looked a little scruffy, but I understand they are redeveloping a little.
Lots to do in the area, things for little people and big people.
Nice little beach, but be warned the sand gets really hot and we couldn't walk on it. We visited Amadores Beach-Beautiful, with nice little places to eat. A little note-the shops are a little cheaper too for things like buckets and spades.
I wouldn't go back here the worlds a big place too see. A good central place to be for all the different attractions.

love puerto rico hence our number of visits, have stayed at the cala dor and cala nova before which are both excellent but there was no availability this time.
the night life is excellent, the tropicana bar is brill for the kids and so is the la fiesta bar, the retaurants are all reasonable and churchills is wonderful especially for the kids.
a bit pricey on the beach 2euros for sunbeds and 3 euros for parasols , however they are clean and the sand is soft!!!

Puerto Rico can either be seen as a small resort or an incredibly large hotel from which to explore the island. There are adequate numbers of restaurants, clubs and beaches but you need to leave the resort to make the most of the island.
Taxis are very reasonably priced around the resort and 3 Euro gets you to most places. Buses around the island are also very reasonable.
The man made beach at Amadores is very beautiful but we found the water quite dirty. The beach at ANFI (the timeshare place) is open to the public and is also worth a visit.
The water park on the resort costs about the same as the one in Maspalomas but it seems much smaller. I can recommend the Maspalomas water park. My kids loved it.
Look out for vouchers on the resort for money off deals.
Puerto Mogan or Little Venice is a beautiful little town about 30 Min's away by bus. The road winds around some hairpins on the mountain side but is well worth the visit.

Puerto rico is a briliant resort it has every thing you could want you just have to plan it properly there are a lot of steps in and around the resort.
Also up near the centre it can be noisy the closer to the beech you get the better it is. Less steps and less noise and also less cockroaches, no mosqetos which is brilliant.
At least I have never seen one and have been there twice If you like indian food go to the indians in the main center its great and cheap very clean and frendly.
