The actual apartment itself was lovely. The maintenance staff were lovely. But I can't recommend for a relaxing holiday or enjoyable time by the pool...

resort facilities on beach are excellent, very clean and safe for swimming.Amadores beach round the other side is lovely with good facilities and beach bars although the beach here is man made from tiny shells it can make your feet feel a bit sore if you walk on it for any length of time but don't let that out you off as its relly nice here.

Puerto Rico has brilliant night life with pleanty to choose from. There are also a large number of places to eat, all with high a quality of food. All the people that work out there are very friendly and the best thing about the resort is that everything is extremely cheap! I would definately go back as I had a fantastic time out here!

We stayed in Puerto Rico.
We have been before so new what to expect.
Our hotel was near the centre and it was a bit noisy from about 11pm till about 3am which is ok if you dont want an early night. We did tend to spend our time at the harbour end which is more quieter and you dont get pestered by people trying to get you in to a resturant to eat.
We liked " Bar Restaurante Terraza" at the far end of the harbour and would recommend for excellent food and wine and never over crowded...

The beach is just opposite the hotel.
There is a taxi rank by the beach the resort is clean. I really like the comercial centre.

Nice place,very hilly, good taxi service.Lots of touts around shopping centres. Good restaurants, especially El Brasero in Europa centre, highly recommended.

Resort was very clean.
Entertainment was mainly limited to bars and resturaunts- not sure about club scene as not my thing. Ferry to Mogan recommended for a change of scene (35 min).
Beach was nice but fairly small for such a large resort.
Would visit again.

Puerto Rico is a fairly clean resort but has a long way to go to be perfect. The walkways and footpaths are in need of repair with broken tiles and holes everywhere.
There is a good selection of bars and places to eat with food to suit everyone.
The beach is quite good but is crammed with sunbeds, hardly any room for the kids to run around.
We have been to Puerto Rico many times and have watched it grow and will probably go many more time in the future.

The resort was clean and there was not litter, there was one downfall to the resort that half was at the top of a hill and the other half was at the ottom of the hill. the entertainment was great, GARAGE BAR,TROPICANA,LAFIESTA are the must have bars to go to on your holiday. thee beaches were okay, but i prefered to go to puerto rico beach rather than Amadores as the Amadores one was shingle and hurt your feet. I would defintaly visit this resort again and i have booked for september 2006 to come again!!!

We have visited Puerto Rico around 15 times and each year there has been an improvement made to facilities on offer. Although it is a large resort we find it very restful and quiet. However, there are plenty bars etc in the shopping centre for younger people looking for some night life.
We walk along the cliff path to Amadores beach most days and visit Mogan by boat from Puerto Rico. There are some excellent new shops there now and a good beach. Also, try Anfi beach. Although a timeshare resort, you can visit the beach on your own either by Blue Bird ferry or by bus to Patalavaca. We spent a very nice day on the caribbean style beach, had lunch in an excellent restaurant and walked around the shops and the picturesque grassy island.

The area has been cleaned up a lot recently. Hardly any cats, did not see any cockroaches this time. Resort can be as lively and noisy as you like, but can also be peaceful and beautiful away from commercial centres.
Care needed when booking accommodation as you could find yourself climbing hundreds of steps to reach apartment, however taxis are cheap and plentiful.
Amadores beach is better than Puerto Rico beach. A good all round resort.
