The actual apartment itself was lovely. The maintenance staff were lovely. But I can't recommend for a relaxing holiday or enjoyable time by the pool...

Beautiful beaches and senery, all apartments and hotels build into the rocky mountains.
Lots of bars in shopping complex going on until 3am in morning.
Resort quiet when you close the door of the apartment.

This resort has something for everyone. Entertainment was fantastic either in Europa centre at top of the hill. Or larger Commercial centre at bottom of the hill.
We went to the larger centre only one night. Great for younger people. The Europa centre was perfect for us. Plenty places to eat all cheap. Great variety of entertainment.

Where the apartments are located you have a small shopping centre a few minutes walk from the room where bars, shops and restaurants are. If however, like us you would want something more lively, the main strip is only a 3 euro taxi trip away!!
In the main strip you will find everything and probably spend most of your time there!!
We visited the beach once. I'm not a big beach person, it was ok.
I would definately visit this resort again. Everywhere is a taxi drive away and doesnt cost too much. I must tell you to go to the waterpark called Aqua Sur. That was great!! Only 20 euros entrance for adults all day.
All the facilities you could need for a great day out. An absolute must for all!!

Peurto Rico was beautiful. The sea was clear and clean, the beaches were well looked after and there was plenty of places to eat abd drink. However, the pestering of the restuarants and bars became very iritating and one man became quite rude as we didn't choose his steak house to dine in.

The resort is pretty clean considering all the people about.
If you like steak go to El Torro delicious. There is a good Chinese eat as much as you like at the back end of the centre there is a good choice of food and its only 4.85 euros.
Beware of the perfume shops they tell you one price and charge you another, they also tell you that the bigger bottles are perfume but it's deodarant. Try Tiffanys Welsh bar for a good night Ellis the owner and John behind the bar are mad and Steve the disc jockey is a scream.
Amadores beach is a must to visit you will think you are in the carribbean. All in all Puerto Rico is a great place to holiday me and my family are going back for the new year cant wait.

Puerto Rico, Gran Canaria is one of my most favorite places on earth!
It always seems to have something to please everyone. Whether you are looking for quiet relaxing on the beach or by the pool, or exciting water sports they have it. Take a ferry boat to one of the neighbouring resorts (for a very reasonable price I may say), or take a local bus and get the thrill of the ride around the cliffsides with sheer drops down to the sea!
The is a huge array of restuarants to try with more different cuisines than I could ever list, and most of them at reasonable prices.
There is the main beach and also if you take a 20/25 minute walk along the purpose built walkway you will find yourself at Amadores beach, a man made beach of which the standards are exceptionally high.
Some areas are getting a little tired now but that can be said of a lot of places here in the UK, but we haven't got the weather they have!If you get the chance, check out the little estate agents on the seafront near to the harbour...they have pictures of Puerto Rico when it first started out 40 odd years ago, the difference is incredible!!
It is the sort of place that you will enjoy it if you are looking for partying all night long,if you want to take a young family for a fun beach holiday, and if you are of the older generation just wanting to take some nice walks and take in the fantastic scenery.
I have been lucky enough to go back every year for the last 5 years and I hope to continue for many years to come.

LOTS of different bars for different ages.
From Irish bars with live bands, karaeoke to lively club music bars.Covent garden had good music.
Drink prices were reasonable 2 bottles of Budweiser 5 euros. Tried Fibber McGees night club one night-awful, dont bother. When you get there its dark, dingy and empty.
They poured international label drinks but certainly didnt taste the same. Take care with the bouncers too-saw an incident where they actually caused more trouble than they stopped!
The restaurant owners will entice you in to their restarants no end, at first it will get on your nerves but best way is to humour them and tell them you have already eaten!! They mean well and some are even funny.
Some of the small 1 man shops with fake bags etc can be intimidating-they will push what ever you look at upon you. When I walked away from one he got very rude towards me. However if you do want something, you can really bargain for it-stick with your price (at least half whatever they say) and they will prob sell it to you for that, as long as you dont mind the harrasement.
Went to the beach once, but very busy, pool was better.

Have visited Puerto Rico in the past.
Loads of Bars and plenty of entertainment.
Plenty of places to eat, the kids especially like the chinese buffet, all you can eat for 2.50 euros.
The beach front is very scenic.
