The actual apartment itself was lovely. The maintenance staff were lovely. But I can't recommend for a relaxing holiday or enjoyable time by the pool...

We loved staying in El Greco as it was quite area. 10 min to the commercial centre. We always walked there, and back, as we enjoyed it. Even after a night out. Down to the Right of the hotel, there are lovely bars and restaruants. But the guys in the electrical shops can be annoying following you asking if you want to buy a camera
Most of they reps calling you into bars etc or restaurants were nice and just smiled if you smile and said no thankyou.
Some great bargins on perfume etc to be got in the shops. And wine/spirts are very good value.. I got a few christmas pressies sorted!!
Some great Crazy Golf there too. Not much in the way for kids, only amusements, but they might enjoy water parks?
The only thing I thought spoiled the resort was the horrible smell when you were passing the childrens park going to the commercial centre, alot of the time we passed it, there wasnt anyone there.. I wonder why?
But we loved Puerto Rico.. and I will def be goin back soon.

Puerto Rico is not for the elderly or ill health person,the walks in 40c can be hard,time share staff are puerto rico is not for the elderly or ill health person.

Puerto Rico is not our cup of tea,lots of time share touts,lots of people trying to drag you into either there shops for cheap video cameras?? or restaurants for something with chips.The two shopping centres are appalling,loud,brash and full of tacky cheap rubbish or nasty pub/restaurants. We did eat out in Puerto Rico a couple of times but both times the meals where nothing fantastic,the beach is ok very busy etc.
If you walk around the headland you will come to Amadores beach which from afar does look very nice,on the particular day we went (for a paddle luckily) there was used sanitary products floating near the waters edge(a quick exit was made) If you get a chance go to Puerto Mogan on the ferry's that leave Puerto Rico 9 euros return,this place is fantastic,very pretty and traditional and a real pleasure to walk around and eat in. Will book our next holiday there I think.

Very good resort. Ideal for couples. You can have a loud or quiet night depending how you feel. The resort is also a lot cheaper than mainland Spain and Majorca for food and drink. There are lots of bars and restaurants to choose from. I will be returning.

puerto rico is fairly clean.the entertainment there is excellent especially la fiesta bar on top floor of main centre.there are dozens of bars for all ages.for a good meal go to restuerant canaries next door but one to la fiesta.the steaks are enormous and you can ask for more.the waiter is so friendly. there are lots of africans selling cheap jewellry but just be polite,say no and they will go away.wish same could be said for chinese women selling toys for kids.sure they are same woman with different wigs.pr has a great beach and a fantastic public pool with three big poolls and only costs 6 euros a day.this is my second visit but will definetly be back

Puerto Rico Gran Canaria
Plenty of shops and places to eat in the centre. For that special one off meal in the evening try "Rembrants" down at the harbour right hand side above the shops, well worth a visit, more expensive than others but absolutely delicious.

A nice little boat trip to Port Mogan is a beautiful place with a small clean beach and nice bar resturants. This little harbour has the most fantastic boats and yachts. Nice to spend a day here.

They were having a clean up around the area we stayed at, gran canaria, they were cleaning up the greanery, and also doing patchy repairs to pavements, which were at best dangerous, cracked tyles and drains in the pavements cracked and broken with tyles jutting up.
The shopping centre was very nice, but they all sold the same stuff, the candle makers at the top end of the centre was good, beautfull candles, saw quite a few looky looky men, you were pestered constantly as we walked to eat here or have a drink there.

I have been to Puerto Rico a dozen or so times and never tire of it, usually we go for a last minute out of high season holiday (to get thru the winter ).
The weather is warm in winter and the resort has plenty to offer all ages.

The resort of puerto rico is fabby in all its great esp. snoopys and picadilly there the best!! the clubs are rocking and there is pubs for all ages!! and the food is fabby a love it and am a fussy eater! the beach is lovely even tho a hate sand i would still say it is worth a visit and the mogan just a short boat journey away is sooooooooooo pretty!!! xxx
