The actual apartment itself was lovely. The maintenance staff were lovely. But I can't recommend for a relaxing holiday or enjoyable time by the pool...

We went for the fishing which was great (White Striker Boat). Be warned. Late night robberies were happening. Keep in a group. The usual fake watches and necklaces available.
Eating places for all tastes. Even curries.
Lots of badaged ankles and feet. The pavements were a little ragged with paving uneven. A few trips as a result.
Beach is small, but adequate. Go to the sea walk and turn right. There is a very nice beach around the corner in the next bay. Consider ferry trips to Morgan. A good morning shopping on Wednesday and Friday (Market). Very picturesque.

Puerto Rico has something for everyone, however it is not recommended for people with mobility problems due to apartments being high up the mountain side, having said that taxi's are very cheap or find a hotel/apartment low down. There are two marina's which are very beautiful, the whole place is very clean, plenty of shops to suit all budgets, but don't forget to barter. The bars are great something for all from quiet bars with cheap drinks like the boogie boogie bar to louder dance bars like covent garden, but the best has to be Tropicana bar especially Tuesday night reps party, the DJ Paul is the best in Puerto Rico. Loads of restaurants to pick from the best being big caribean which is in the small shopping centre near the aquacanis apartments, the red rose is also very good a little pricey but the food is fantastic. Trips from the resort are great especially the jeep safari. Will definitely be back at the aquacanis next october and can't wait.

This is for Amadores Beach. We loved it here and the beach was clean and the sea was lovely. The main beach in Puerto Rico isn't as nice but is ok (just too pebbly in the sea for my liking) but Amadores is soft sand and a manmade beach. It costs Euros 3 for a taxi from PR. Puerto Rico itself is noisy and full of touts but is a pretty place and looks lovely at night when its all lit up. I would recommend it if the apartments were slightly away from the commercial centres.

Excellent restaurants in Puerto Rico, we used the commercial centre which where we found good restaurants. Can't comment on Europa centre as we didn't go there. Went to Puerto Mogan on the Friday to the market, lovely place. Would recommend the resort and if you are looking for a quiet apartment complex, try the Guanabara Park, albeit at the top of the hill, taxis are readily available.

I would not return again to Puerto Rico as it was extremely 'hilly' and unless you took taxis everywhere you were kind of stuck at the top!! There was a centre called the Europa with plenty of bars shops etc but if you were on a fortnights holiday I reckon you would be pretty fed up going to the Europa! Beautiful man-made beach at the bottom and another centre called the Commercial which was 10 times the size of the Europa. The people were very nice and the resort was very clean.

Lovely resort in a valley layout, with the beach at one end and the commercial centre at the other. There is also another centre at the top of the valley which is a lot quieter , but only a couple of euros in a taxi.
The resort is very hilly, with steps to most of the hotels, apart from the lowest ones near to the beach. There are hundreds of restaurants in both centres and some really nice ones by the harbour.
There is lots of things to do for entertainment both in the daytome and at night, you will never be bored. On the other hand if a quieter holiday is preferred, it is easy to avoid any hustle and bustle due to the great location and layout.
There are spectacular views from almost every hotel, all across the valley and down to the harbour. There is a waterpark which is about 30 mins walk or 5 mins in a taxi which always makes a good day out.
The transport to other areas such as playa del ingles and maspalomas is very cheap, and a new road has been built to make these travel times very quick. However staying in Puerto Rico you have the best of both worlds, great nightlife, lots of things to do in the daytime, quieter environments like the harbour and europa centre, great food, lovely people and altogether great holiday environment. Highly reccommended!!!!

Puerto Rico is spotless, a lovely resort with plenty to do for all ages, the beach looked great but we never went to it as we prefer the pool for during the day (different story when we have the kids with us).
We were going to go back (not to Tobago though) with the kids this year but booked for Lanzarote instead (got a better deal) but we would definately consider it for another time.

Puerto Rico is fab, just the hills are a nightmare, but am used to it now, av been going for the past 10 years.
The entertainment is great and there's something there for everyone, oldies, families, couples and groupies.
