The actual apartment itself was lovely. The maintenance staff were lovely. But I can't recommend for a relaxing holiday or enjoyable time by the pool...

Puerto Rico is an excellent resort for both couples and families, the beach is clean and lots of shops and bars for refreshments. There is an abundance of places to eat at very reasonable prices with something to suit everyone, McDonalds for the kids if all else fails. Will be visiting again in the summer of 2005.

Puerto rico is a loverly place and we are looking foward to going back. The lucky lucky men will bother you a little but they are harmless. Just say no if you dont want to buy off them.
Prices are good the dearest meal we bought for 4 was 43 euro and the chepest just 16 euro. A pint of beer 1 euro up to 3 euro. Try san megels restrant a little place called cafe rico if you want fish and chips. And our fav pub was Rummers just across from cafe rico. If you go to rummers tell them jono fantastico sent you they owe me 2 bottles of wine.

I didn t like the big mall at peurto rico. Full of hagglers. Even in the shops when i tried to bargain I was called a liar for trying to haggle using a price i was given in another shop in order to try and make them lower their price. Excuse me but I though that was the point of haggling. Me and friend were shouted at for not going in certain clubs that owners were trying to make us go into. Its pretty tacky and I would not return to this resort

The beach and sea at Puerto Rica were clean with a promenade that was nice for evening strolls. There were a number of good restaurants at the marina or near the beach. There is an excellent walk from the marina to Amadores beach where there are some shops and restaurants at the back of the beach. Although fairly quiet in the evenings at Puerto beach or marina areas, taxis were readily available to go to the Commercial Centre where there are lots of shops, restaurants and night life available if you wanted it. There were ferries and boat trips from the marina for all sorts of functions - we went on a day trip to Mogan, which is a very pretty resort. We would reccomend Oscar's restaurant at the end of the beach for a good evening meal. La Paloma next door is very good too.

The resort its self is really great always something going on in both the centres so there is plenty to choose from and yes we are going back.

The beach is cleaned daily between 08:00 and 08:30; it's a blessing to have no ciggie ends or other rubbish to detract.
The resort entertainment and some of the eating establishments are English orientated (ok if you like it, but hey, we are abroad are we not?).
Very much a good area to be in, you have a choice; lively or quiet - it's up to you!

We stayed in Puerto Rico where there is something for everyone. Yes there are lookie lookie men which can be a pain but just say no thanks and they leave you in peace.

Could be cleaner with the odd pile of rubbish and cans thrown about, however there were plenty of bins situated around. There were a variety of restaurants both at the top and bottom of the resort with a fair amount of choice and reasonably priced. The Grand Canaria Restaurant is worth a visit. Crazy golf at the top was great fun. Beach was small, nice and clean. Very hilly, but taxis were cheap and plentiful. Would recommend this resort for families.
