The actual apartment itself was lovely. The maintenance staff were lovely. But I can't recommend for a relaxing holiday or enjoyable time by the pool...

The resort was lovely and clean and well kept, the only thing I would say is beware of the sales staff in the shopping centre they will try and sell you stuff like MP3 players without the necessary software and then try and charge you extra for that when you have handed over the cash and find that it is not included. Small shopping area near the beach and harbour, much better for buying pressies etc.

We have been to Puerto Rico once as a couple though I have been 3 or 4 times now and I love it. We think the nightlife anf the places to eat are all lovely.
The food we thought was really cheap althought the drink was just about the same as it is here, unless you are drinking the local spirits and you will probably get 2 for 1 in most clubs.
We love Puerto Rico and we will most deffinately be back this year and probably for years to come.

The resort was really good. Having never visited before we found it exciting and vibrant. With plenty of nice bars and resturants. The beach was great, but amadoros was beter!

We had a great time exploring all areas of the resort and rediscovered a restaurant we visited in 2002. It is the San Miguel Restaurant and all the staff recognised us from two years before! The food and service exceed all expectations!
We often walked to the beach but it would take ages as we stopped at both mini golf areas. It cost a fortune but we enjoyed every second of both our holidays and would love to go back as soon as possible. We would actually like to move to Puerto Rico as it is so safe and welcoming!

The resort is very clean but there is nothing to do. If you dont like very noisy pubs at night dont come here. All the bars and restaurants and bars are in the europa center ar the commercial centre at the bottom of the very steep hill. If you want to walk down to the bottom of the hill you can do this by walking the 634 steps just outside the reosol. I would'nt recomend walking this late at night if you are on your own, it gets very dark. You can get boats to Mogan and Aguiniguin at the harbour from the Salmon boats. There is 10 of these boats and they run every hour and are just like taxs. Mogan market is on Friday.
There is also lots of timeshare people like anywhere in spain all trying to sell you somewhere on carabean beach (ANFI BEACH) dont go here with any companys because they just stick you in a taxi and you dont get home for hours. Unless you are cerisosly thinking of buying one of these. The reps that do this get 50 euros for every person they get in a taxi up to there offices. So beware of this.

The resort of Puerto Rico is far superior to Playa del Ingles. It is built into the hillside - with windy roads around the coast to Maspalomas etc. The buses are clean and regular - the drivers are helpful and understand basic English. The alternative beach - along the Ocean walkway is well worth a visit - better sand than the main beach.
Highlight of the holiday - boat trip from Puerto Rico harbour where we saw 5 dolphins, plus a baby dolphin and a turtle carrying a fish. Well worth every penny spent.

I have been to Gran Canaria on many occassions, so I must like it, although this time, We took a fishing boat trip from Puerto Rico . I am not going to say who we went with, as they where lovely, but it was certainly an eye opener for me. As my sons are keen fisherman at the age of 10,12,13, we went on a sea fishing trip. It cost us 250 euros (£160.00) for a 5 hour trip. I have traveled many times to all parts of the world and have been on boat trips, but we have never experienced anything like this. I am not really a sea sick person, but the boat went 3 mile out to sea, and kept turning in large circles with the diesal engines on for the who duration. We were all sick and could not even take a video or photo of the day, as we all felt to ill. The smell of the fumes made us feel even worse. There was not enough seating on board so some of us had to stand. And to top it all we did not caught a thing. Anfi Beach is a must. But you must go and sit near the Lagon end.

Puerto Rico is a nice resort with lots to do for familys. When i went i went to 2 beaches there Puerto Rico and the Amadoras. The Amadoras is beutiful with white sand and clear blue water and planty little shops and bars which are cheap (would go again)Puerto Rico beach is more busy with boat trips jetskis and other sporting actives the sand there though is black which i wasnt to keen on.Puerto Rico is clean but some of the streets can be quite dirty .I would go back to Puerto Rico as its not to expensive and its a family place (not to busy) Joanne
