The actual apartment itself was lovely. The maintenance staff were lovely. But I can't recommend for a relaxing holiday or enjoyable time by the pool...

If you like resorts that have nightlife until the early hours and there are numerous tacky pubs and clubs then this is the place for you!

Too comercialised. Very english.
If you like fry-ups and Sunday roasts then this is the place for you.
Very mountainous and every shop the same.
Local men offered drugs, not a great place to send your teenagers on their first holiday!
Dont' even think about the island if you want culture. Wasn't a Spanish thing about it!

This resort was not that bad if you stayed down the bottom of the hills. But if you were at the top like us you would have to travel back up the hill with the Kamikazi taxi drivers.
Entertainment not bad..

Stretch the DJ and the kids reps were fantastic with the kids, they kept them entertained day and night, my children loved it at the eden apartments, i will definately be back.

As far as the resort is concerned - we had a great time - we didn't go to everything entertainment wise as we have a 5 year old but we did visit the beach at Anfi del Mar, we visited Puerto Rico's Waterpark, we took a submarine boat trip and Becky even went Parascending - it was all perfectly fine a well up to standard and typical of a Spanish holiday resort

There was always something to see or do at this resort.
We were kept busy every day either going on excursions such as camel safaris, jeep safaries, visiting other parts of the island such as puerto mogan or arguinnigen, for the markets etc or visiting waterparks or animal parks.
We visited a couple of restaurants the nicest being Manolo's in the Europa centre where you could get a starter, meal and a couple of beers for 21 euro's and also Gran Canaria Restaurant which was by the beach. The worst we visted was El Pirata which was next door to the Gran Canaria, it was expensive, the food was awful - one to definately stay away from!!
Evening entertainment was quite good, in particular at the top of the commercial centre (the main centre of puerto rico)there was a drag show on - not everybodys cup of tea but if you are open minded and want a good chuckle this is the place to go. There was also a bar down next to flannigans apple (right at the end) where the beer was a euro per pint!! nice stuff as well.
Taxi's were reasonable too.
Overall a good resort with lots going on if you want it.

Puerto Pico is a friendly resort with lots going on all day! Most people are English, or speak English very well, so I didn't have to struggle in Spanish too much! The town centre and beach were both very clean, and there were good facilities on the beach. eg. toilets, showers, restaurants. The beach did, however, get very busy in the afternoon, and the sunbeds filled up quickly. There is a minimal charge for hiring a sunbed and parasol for the day.
The bars and restaurants in the centro commercial were mainly geared towards young adults, but there were plenty of places for families to eat as well. There are loads of deals and bargains on drinks to get you into their bars, and happy hour seems to last all night!! The bars don't shut until 4am and the nightclub is in the basement, and is open until 7am!
The only bad thing about the town was the number of street traders who target British holiday makers. Most were OK, and took "no" for an answer, but we did have some trouble with some women who became quite aggressive when we refused to pay 5 Euros for a piece of string with 3 plastic beads on it!!!
All in all though, my friends and I had a great time, and I would reccommend it to anybody.
