The actual apartment itself was lovely. The maintenance staff were lovely. But I can't recommend for a relaxing holiday or enjoyable time by the pool...

Having never been to Gran Canaria before i didnt know what to expect. This was my boyfriends 3rd time so he obviously new the ins and outs of Puerto Rico. Cant really say anything negative, you have two fantastic beaches with masses of watersports including the BIG RED BOAT which is a must for you adrenaline junkies!. Loads of restaurants with our partaicular favourite the El Torro Steakhouse. Night life a plenty with bogof's pretty much all night, just be warned that there are loads of touts who dont like no for an answer, hounding you both day and night(but hey dont we get that everywhere!)

I enjoyed Puerto Rico and one of its two beaches, ther are many resaurants and bars some of which were excellent. I would definitley recommend hiring a car as there are many other places to go and see.

Hailed as the sunspot of the Island, Puerto Rico delivers on the sun front.
Amadores beach adjoining PR's own beach is newer, cleaner with the beach-front restaraunts cleaner and more up-market.
We hired a car for the second week and made our way up to Las Palmas where the shopping facilities were superb.
PR was a mere 60 mins away by motorway on the return trip.
Having driven up the West Coast of the Island, I can confirm there's little there on the tourist front and the beaches and hotter weather is in P Rico.
Consider seeking out accomodation with air conditioning if going in August or you'll bake in the bedroom with most of the accomodations not even having a ceiling fan...

Beach cleanliness good with plenty of entertainment on, search out the cheap bars if your buying for 5. Nearby beaches Playa de le Amadores & Puerto de Mogan are well worth a visit. Also recommend the wild west show. Car hire cheap also.

The resort entertainment was great good for every age range and a wide selection of pubs, clubs and restraunts.
The food was great there was lots of reastrunts and you would never get stuck for choice.
The beach was lovely as well you could relax or do some water sports. There were sunbeds and unbrellas for hire and a few snack bars around the beach.
The shops were useful and had lots of souveniers at good prices there was also designer shops. The location was really usful and I would definately visit the resort again.

Puerto Rico is fantastic, we have been numerous times and love the friendly atmosphere, and the great bars, restaurants and nightlife. A must for all holiday makers. PS visit San Miguel restaurant & La Fiesta bar!
