Near the Andorra are a group of bars. Check out The Soul Bar. Also The Restaurant Margarita -really good food. Great music especially by Mikey Mike who works in both places.

The hotel has non stop entertainment. There is always something available to keep you entertained. Every room is in good location.

All rooms are good in this quite hotel with most having sea views
Avoid booking a studio without stipulating 'NOT FACING THE WALL' as we were allocated a room looking directly at a high wall 12' from our balcony even although we had requested a sea or pool view. Check directly with the hotel well in advance.

The resort seemed really clean the only problem we had was touts but a stern no thanks seemed to do the trick. Best places we dined were Wigan Pier we love it here big thick chunky chips, The Ship quite pricey depending on what you have but good quality. We spent 2 excellent nights at the san eugen bar big thanks to Mike Carlton brill compere, entertainment really good 2-3 acts every night following each other on. There really is something for everybody here and location of hotel is superb. Took my daughter to aqua park she loved I even managed to drag her on every ride there. Did not take our son (5) as I thought he would be too young for most of the rides how wrong I was there was plenty for him to do.

The area in Tenerife is very good for things to do and places to eat, it wasnt the timeshare touts that got on your nerves it was the PRs all wanting you to eat in there restaurants, they dont think you only need to eat once in an evening (lol).Thankfully it was a decent enough area to find things for our son to do as the Hotel was so appalling. Never to be visited again.

I think a big minus for Playa de las Anericas is the time share touts, they are a nightmare. They don't call themselves time share they say they are from a Holiday Club.
You get stopped every few minutes which is a pain. If they manage to tout you, you will be driven to the back of beyond for a number of hours, whilst some very heavy strong armed tactics will be used.
If you get stopped by anyone, offering anything just keep walking.

Resort was clean enough, however absolutely nothing to do for kids (trampolines for little ones on beach - 6 euros for 30 mins.
Got a bit sick of guys trying to tempt us in to their restaurant/bars etc, which put us off walking in certain directions on an evening. never tried any bars as we were all inclusive.
Only 20 mins from airport. Twice weekly market (thurs and sat) but get there early cos after 10.30 you can't move for people.

We were quite away out from the resort centre, it was a good 25 minute walk (took longer with the childern). We found it easier to take a taxi but they varied a lot in price between 4-6 euros, we had 4 families and were all charged somthing different each time.
We found Peurto Colon a nicer area than Playa de las Americas.
The only complaint I have is you get hassled at every bar and restaurant to eat or drink day and night it gets a bit much when you are there for 2 weeks.
Loro parque & Aqualand are worth going to (you can go to Aqualand cheaper the second time)

I have heard a lot about Playa De Las Americas and it was a place I never fancied going to. What a shock. I had the totally wrong idea. We enjoyed it so much, we would certainly go back.

Will definitely visit Tenerife again as we had a fantastic holiday which went far too quickly.

San Eugene area of Playa De Las Americas has plenty of facilities including bars restaurants and shops. Not a lot to do for children, however there is trampolines on the beach which are great for the kids (and adults) we had many happy hours on them. Boat trips to see the whales and dolphins are a must especially on the glass bottom boats. The water Park is a fun day out for everyone where you can train and touch the dolphins for £35 well worth the money.

The cove like beaches in Costa Adeje are beautiful much nicer than the larger ones.
The restaurants and entertainment there is also great.
The area around the Noeila is beautiful all tropical gardens and very clean there is a path along the seafront that goes all the way from Los Christianos the Adeje and it is so beautiful. When you get to Adeje you have to cross over the pier to get to the other side and it is worth it.
