Near the Andorra are a group of bars. Check out The Soul Bar. Also The Restaurant Margarita -really good food. Great music especially by Mikey Mike who works in both places.

Avoid booking a studio without stipulating 'NOT FACING THE WALL' as we were allocated a room looking directly at a high wall 12' from our balcony even although we had requested a sea or pool view. Check directly with the hotel well in advance.
All rooms are good in this quite hotel with most having sea views

This was our twelfth visit to Tenerife and will be returning again.
Torviscus is part of Playa De Las Americas which is quite busy at night and has loads of family bars & restaurants without having too much noise or trouble.
There is always plenty to do, all within walking distance although taxis are really cheap if you want to travel further away.
There are several beaches within walking distance, the newest being Playa Fanabe which must be the best beach in Tenerife.
I would definitely recommend this resort to all ages.

Having been to Tenerife the year before we knew what Playa De Las Americas was like, nice beaches and restaurants.
The beaches were brilliant, you could go down at mid day and still be able to get a sunbed (3 euros per bed). Do not buy the food and drink from the men on the beach, they over price everything.
After a while we got fed up with all the English kids trying to get us into their pubs and clubs, they hassled us every night on our way back the hotel.
I would go to Playa De Las Americas again but not that area.
If you are looking for a quieter area in Playa go the Los Cristianos end.

Playa is like Margate with sunshine! But if you can escape the english pubs, fast food joints and annoying club taggers you can find plenty to do. I travelled with my two teenage sons and we found enough to do to make sure we all enjoyed our time there.
Would not recommend the water park though...too expensive and only two rides worth the effort.
Check out 'The Patch' between Playa and Los Christianos for lively clubs and pubs without the hassle of Veronicas...especially the Brewers Droop!

This was our 10th visit to the resort and found it to be very clean and has had additional shops built from our previous visit.
There are two harbours within walking distance, with a good variety of bars which tend to have live acts each night and followed by karaoke which can be very entertaining to watch. These bars are well presented mainly catering for families.
There is a promenade to walk along the sea front between the two harbours this has a variety of shops and restaurants with choices of steak houses, fish dishes general British food and a McDonalds and Burger King etc.
It is a very safe resort you never feel intimidated especially by the timeshare which tend to be situated mainly in Playa Las Americas although watch out for the 'pea men' who operate along the promenade doing there disappearing pea trick for money, never bet with them they are gypsies who work in groups of normally six and try to get you to bet which cup the pea is under we saw a couple loose £100 in ten minutes and they can get very nasty and aggressive if you do not pay be warned !
We often went to the Wigan Pier a relaxing British pub only 5 minutes from the hotel, cheap drinks £1 per pint, great atmosphere and great for families but be there early to get a seat you will go back again and again.
The beach is very clean with sun shades/changing/shower facilities close at hand and the water is clean and safe for swimming but can get busy during peak times.
The resort has something for everyone whether young or old and has a very friendly feel as opposed to the busy Las Americas with its constant canvassers of holiday homes and bar touts always making you on your guard as they are all your best friends!! Until you say no.
We shall visit this resort again next year.

We stayed in Toviscas which was thr best so far as we have been to other parts of Tenerife.
Must visit the Aqua park where my daughter got to interact with the dolphins at a special closed session, the whale and dolphin trips on the catarmaran are a must too.

The only problem I found with the resort was that it was a little hilly. I had a brilliant time, and so did all the family
