Near the Andorra are a group of bars. Check out The Soul Bar. Also The Restaurant Margarita -really good food. Great music especially by Mikey Mike who works in both places.

All rooms are good in this quite hotel with most having sea views
Avoid booking a studio without stipulating 'NOT FACING THE WALL' as we were allocated a room looking directly at a high wall 12' from our balcony even although we had requested a sea or pool view. Check directly with the hotel well in advance.

My top tip is to get the bus from the airport as it stops at the top of the road by Magna Building save on transfers

they have made great improvements in the las america and through to the torviscus end with the new pedestrian areas
and it is kept very clean and neat, the resort entertainment
was as usual to a good varied standard
the beaches to the front of the hotel are not particularly nice but a grat view of the surfers
for a decent beach no more than 500m either direction

Las Americas has improved beyond all recognition over the years. Beautifull beachfront promenade walkways that stretch for miles, excellent bars and restaurants and a vast selection of shops.

Neat little resort, with lots of bars, restaurants and shops. Blue flag beach with service to your sunbeds! We had sangria and pizza served to us on Christmas Day! The access to the sea is easy, really suitable for children and those with walking difficulties. There are lots of hills and steps, but these can be avoided without spoiling your holiday. There's a train which takes you round the resort, but its a bit difficult to stop it! Taxis are plentiful and reasonable. If you're into designer wear, there's loads of posh shops as well as the more tacky stuff. Excellent range of shoes and handbags - had to use all my powers of resistance. (Only bought one handbag!)

Happy with the resort and what it offered. Only came to sunbathe and after buying a couple of lilos that’s what we did. Food available was great and the sun shone most of the time.

Seems to get more expensive each year but there are still bars selling pints for 1 Euro, and Chinese and Indian ‘eat as much as you like’ buffets, my favourite being the Peking Palace. If you like steak then over the motorway from the Aqua Park is Chaplins great food at a decent price. We love the Aqua Park and you can barter for a good price or big discount on a return.2008 should see the opening of Siam Park , the biggest water park in the world I have had a look round and would come back to Tenerife just for this

Wonderful beach, beautiful clear waters and loads of kids' entertainment. Well worth swimming the short distance to the breakwater and doing a spot of snorkeling. The bars are okay, typical 'British' pubs, bars cafes etc. and all reasonably priced. Shopping potential is okay although beware - some of the traders can be a little over zealous and 'amazing bargains', particularly in electricals, are not quite as they seem when it comes to the purchase.

Sea was cold in December so it was lucky Garden City had a heated pool so althoguh we visited the beach on several occassions it was nice to swim in a heated pool. I'd definately recommend if booking acoomoddation in the winter months you choose somewhere with a heated pool!
There is a new water park due to open (SIam Park) at Easter and it's billed to be the largest water park in Europe. From what I can see of the building works so far it's goin to be spectacular.
