Near the Andorra are a group of bars. Check out The Soul Bar. Also The Restaurant Margarita -really good food. Great music especially by Mikey Mike who works in both places.

Avoid booking a studio without stipulating 'NOT FACING THE WALL' as we were allocated a room looking directly at a high wall 12' from our balcony even although we had requested a sea or pool view. Check directly with the hotel well in advance.
All rooms are good in this quite hotel with most having sea views

Beaches

The beaches are great and safe for children. There are plenty of play areas for children dotted around. Great bars and restaurants with some realy good shoping centres. The coast line is fantastic, you can walk around the coast either way for miles. Lots of ticket touts which got quite annoying but just ignore them and they go away eventualy.

Player de las Americas and adjoining Adeje is what we consider home from home we have many friends in the area but anyone and everyone are made to feelwelcome and you will soon feel as tho you're part of the crowd
We usualy spend most nights down on the patch as we find both " The Duck " with Steve Terry ans Sue incredible mine hosts
and also " Sax Bar " with Andre a more than able bar steward ( LOL ) and the drinks plentyfull and well priced
There's a chippy next door but 1 to the entrance to Hotel Las Palmeras and yummy the restaurants are plentyfull and a wide variety of international food available " The Rib restaurant " Tony somebody or other is garbage the food insipid but the staff very friendly

Playa de Las Americas is a busy resort. Although there is a strip called Veronicas geared up for the young ones with discos etc. there are also lots of other areas with bars restaurants and entertainment.
Las Americas is in the middle so if you stay there it is easy to walk to Los Cristianos or the other way to the marina at Torvicas. The promenade has been recently done up and is lovely for walking. A lot has also been done to the streets, making it one way with more pedestrianised areas. It is great for all ages.

PDLA is a buzzing and lively resort. Great sandy beach and no, it is NOT black! There are lots of bars if that is your scene or upscale cocktail lounges if that is more your thing. There is also amazing shopping to be had from high end designer names to the fakes being sold along the beach front. You can walk to most places if the heat allows otehrwise just jump in a cab, it is cheap enough. The beach is clean but the sun lounger gestapo (!) can be a bit overbearing & heavyhanded. Don't expect everyone to speak English, even in big stores like Zara be prepared for most people to only speak Spanish and this includes cab drivers so make sure you know the names of where you are going and pronounce it properly. For example, there are no J sounds in the language , substitute for K.
You will love PDLA and there is not a lot to not like.

Always a welcomed walk from the hotel Oro Negro.
Las Americas is quite shabby and full of Viz characters.
Los Christianos (same distance is much smarter.

the resort itself was fine, the beach wasnt very good as its all stones and very black, but it depends what you want on a holiday. the entertainment is very good, lots of bars and restaurants with entertainment. i think its more for the younger generation, but there are bars for the older ones, if you find them.

Tenerife is a great place to visit , it has wonderful weather and wonderful people of all nationalities. so many great places to eat and drink, so many attractions to see.
Top class entertainment for young and old and some great adult stuff as well.
I would certainly go back, but probably on a Self catering basis, as it is so inexpensive to eat and drink. My Favourite was SOUL CITY in Costa Adeje, good for all the family.
Go....And enjoy yourself.

Playa La Pinta Beach was excellent. Bars and Restaurants are plentiful and good value around the Beach front. Didn't see many time share salesmen but plenty of Lucky Lucky men.
