Near the Andorra are a group of bars. Check out The Soul Bar. Also The Restaurant Margarita -really good food. Great music especially by Mikey Mike who works in both places.

The hotel has non stop entertainment. There is always something available to keep you entertained. Every room is in good location.

Avoid booking a studio without stipulating 'NOT FACING THE WALL' as we were allocated a room looking directly at a high wall 12' from our balcony even although we had requested a sea or pool view. Check directly with the hotel well in advance.
All rooms are good in this quite hotel with most having sea views

My top tip is to get the bus from the airport as it stops at the top of the road by Magna Building save on transfers

We have been comming to Tenerife for the last 15 years. We find it the perfect winter location. Las Americas is kept very clean and the beaches are superb.
An abundance of eating places to pick from and it seems that many now include a resident singer!
The exchange rate this year was not as favourable as in the past but a good expensive time was had by all.

This is the 7th time we have been to Las Americas but we usually stay more to Los Cristionas. It is very well situated apart from the long hike up a steep hill when coming back from the beach. And which ever way you go there is no getting away from the hill

centrel location, near all shops and restaurants but hotel is on a bank some people may find it difficult if they have walking problems or wheelchairs.

The resort is fantastic. While there there were a few older people complaining buut in my view, if they wanted a quiet holiday then they should have gone to a quiet resort!!! They were well catered for though at the hotel and there are the various bars and clubs that Las Amercias has to offer for us younger ones!!!

Stayed in Laguna Park ll, which is ABSOLUTELY NOT in PDLA, no where remotely near it is in Costa Adeje.
Not for the fainthearted, unfit, disabled or smokers - way to many hills!
Walking from the hotel to the 'main' street with young children would not be wise as you have to cross 3 roads and a motorway bridge, while sober and being careful we almost got run over!!! get a taxi its safer!
Chaplins in the main street was quite reasonable for all meals and there was a good variety of shops including a 'mini mall'
however
when purchasing anything electrical or expensive take your time, compare your prices and dont be pushed into buying anything until you are sure, they all look like different shops but they all work together! If you are not careful you can be conned.
great value for wii etc and being just before xmas should have brought more money and bought some!!!
Costa Adeje is def for the quieter holiday although there was enought to do and see but 'night' entertainment off season is very slack, not for the partygoer!
the beach was lovely - once we found it and this area is def suited more to families and older couples.

I think Las Americas is for the younger people. We walked on to Los christianos and thought this looked a lot nicer and cleaner. It is for the shopaholics though. All the designer names at tax free prices but watch out for the excess bagage u might have to pay at the airport when u go home as they are very strict and did see this for myself. One man in front of us in the checking in que was one kilo over his allowance and was made to pay for take the weight out of his suitcase.

We have stayed in Torviscas and Fanabe many, many times and have never been disappointed. Torviscas is a bit tired around the old market area but there is something for everyone. If you like live music you've got to see Soundchaser - they're a 3 piece rock band from Norway. They're on a the In and Out bar on the beach almost every night and are absolutely fantastic - well worth a visit - drinks are expensive but one shot is worth about 6 back home! If you like a good walk go along the promenade towards El Duque - the hotels and bars are very upmarket and the beach has blue and white striped beach huts - very French! Torviscas is very cheap to eat out as all the bars and restaurants seem to be competing with each other -our favourite is Mayte's (next to Sunset harbour, opposite the old market) the food is amazing and Paco the head waiter will make you very welcome.

The beach is very clean and the water is sky blue, very cheap to hire sunbeds and umbrellas, people are so friendly and the entertainment of an evening is even better. you have different bars with different music so its up to you where you want to go.
