Near the Andorra are a group of bars. Check out The Soul Bar. Also The Restaurant Margarita -really good food. Great music especially by Mikey Mike who works in both places.

All rooms are good in this quite hotel with most having sea views
Avoid booking a studio without stipulating 'NOT FACING THE WALL' as we were allocated a room looking directly at a high wall 12' from our balcony even although we had requested a sea or pool view. Check directly with the hotel well in advance.

My top tip is to get the bus from the airport as it stops at the top of the road by Magna Building save on transfers

Excellent area, lots to do and bustling with entertainment.
Clean and beach bars and shops are great, its a lovely walk.
Veronicars is great for the more livelier, Linekars is excellent.

Playa de las Americas the work on the road is just about complete when this is finished the place will look a lot cleaner and I guess more people about.

While the beach is very clean, people with young children should take note that some areas of the waters edge can be a bit stoney and have a few steap drops which can catch you out!

Area clean but lots of building work on the front and at veronicas.

The resort its self is amazing. It has 2 sides to it, through out the day its very ideal for a family but of a night it comes alive and very gd for 18+. Paraiso apartments are in a very gd place you dont have to walk far for food bars or entertainment. If your looking for a quite relaxing holiday its not ideal for you.

This area of Las americas has improved greatly over the recent years and now you have some very nice shops and upmarket hotels in the main streetWhich runs parallel with the very nice prom. The new vista beach is very nice, very big and reaches into Los Christianos

Las Ammericas is a clean resort when you think about the amount of people who visit there every year. There is always someone cleaning down a pavement or collect rubbish.
Although it was 10 years since we last visited the resort the entertainment hadn't changed much and more bars had opened up in close proximity to each other so that when you sat in one bar you could hear both sets of entertainment at the same time and the music went louder and louder as both bars tried to pull in the 'punters'. We didn't go on the beach, but they looked clean and free of rubbish, the best stretch would be on the connecting beach beteen Las Ammericas and Los Christianos. It is unlikely that we will visit Tenerife again, it will probably be another 10 years if at all.

Resort is really good, plenty of things to see and do, nice and chilled out. Plenty of places to go out for meals.
I felt that the only let down was the beach, which is pretty much non existant as it's mainly for surfers due to the wind and rough sea

The area outside La Siesta Hotel was paved marble there was no evidence of litter here plenty of potted shrubs, and well kept streets. A little further up on the Patch the buildings were a little seedy wanting a lick of paint. Walking down to the beach areas there was dog muck under the trees and on the streets, empty plastic bottles, and black plastic bags waiting to be emptied. The beach area could be improved as it looked like a building site in parts, loads of weeds growing amongst the rocks and rubbish strewn about. Some of the beaches were well cared for though usually outside the hotel areas
Many of the cafes owners cleaned the streets outside and often you could smell bleach.
A really nice part of the resort was by the Cleopatra Hotel, Pyramides de Arona and it was obvious a lot of money had been spent in this area.
Places to eat out: Garibaldi`s very expensive, but v. good, Tony Romas for ribs(next door to Garibaldi`s) Ce Cedro`s opposite La Siesta Hotel for well cooked basic food and friendly staff, a Tapas bar on the sea front called Blue Pacific?, Biancos and Harry`s bar, the Budha bar for entertainment and cocktails
I would definitely return here espcially in the area around Santiago V

Mention this place to folks that haven't been recently and they will tut. They're wrong! This resort is getting better all the time, it even looks as though Veronicas will disappear as the smart new shops and pedestrian areas extend along the whole of the promenade.
Cristianos is starting to look the poor relation!
