Near the Andorra are a group of bars. Check out The Soul Bar. Also The Restaurant Margarita -really good food. Great music especially by Mikey Mike who works in both places.

Avoid booking a studio without stipulating 'NOT FACING THE WALL' as we were allocated a room looking directly at a high wall 12' from our balcony even although we had requested a sea or pool view. Check directly with the hotel well in advance.
All rooms are good in this quite hotel with most having sea views

The resort is clean with plenty to do for everyone whatever their age.
The only downside for us was the timeshare reps and the bar and restaurant PRs who can follow you down the street and be quite persistent!!!!
I would definatley visit again maybe even later on this year.

Much preferred the area north of Puerto Colon, towards Fanabe - bit more of a family feel than south towards Veronicas. Digging up of roads in places at the moment with nice paving and planting going in which looks like it will really nice when its all done.
The usual range of English/ Scottish / Irish / etc bars you get at any big resort. Like everywhere, it takes time to get your bearing and find the best spots for a drink or a bite to eat. Felt we got ripped of a few times, particularly re the price of soft drinks for the kids and the way you never know whether "tax" is going to be added to the bill (bars, restaurants and shops)and at what rate. Also, we got really cynical about cheap beer offers - look for the small print!! One place we stopped at advertised 1.20/pint and actually took the sign in while we were sitting there, then charged us 3.00 saying the offer had ended. Its a shame some places dont seem to appreciate the importace of repeat business.
We did enjoy our holiday and it is always nice to get away, but the big thing that spoiled it for us was that where ever you go you are forever being hassled by PRs trying to drag you in for a meal / drink / icecream. Particularly hateful are the ones that think they can get to you through you kids eg "Tell your mum you want to stop for icecream".
Whether you do it by hire car, excursion or public transport, make sure you get our of the resorts and see a bit of the island. To some extent we felt that is could be any Spanish resort anywhere but it was the days out and about that made the holiday.
For, us, after several years of Spanish hols once or twice a year, it is time for a change. We will probably return to Tenerife at some point in the future but to the North of the island which in our opinion is much nicer.

Tenerife is the best of the Canary Islands with great weather plenty to visit and safe beaches as they are patrolled at all times.

The resort itself is basically entirely catered towards Tourism, especially English Tourists! Everything is served with chips and the only things to do in the resort itself to to stuff your face and get drunk! Very much catered towards the 18-30 type traveller. Watch out for the PRs though - they are everywhere and can make your holiday hell! Not much to the beach - best off walking to Los Cristianos - about 20 mins away!

This resort is suitable for most people apart from people with walking difficulties due to lots of steps.
