Near the Andorra are a group of bars. Check out The Soul Bar. Also The Restaurant Margarita -really good food. Great music especially by Mikey Mike who works in both places.

Avoid booking a studio without stipulating 'NOT FACING THE WALL' as we were allocated a room looking directly at a high wall 12' from our balcony even although we had requested a sea or pool view. Check directly with the hotel well in advance.
All rooms are good in this quite hotel with most having sea views

I went to Playa de las Americas in November with my boyfriend and it is the best place to go for young couples. Loads to do, never got bored. Any hotel near the parque de la paz was the right place to be except dont go there!10 min walk to all the restaurants and bars which are lively and near the beach and all the shops. Beach was gorgeous and playa de las americas is the best resort to go to if your a young couple wanting a lively but not too lively holiday.

a bit dissapointed in the night life. same old karaoke style singer on at the venues advertising as top entertainment + felt ripped off at the prices one bar gave us a free nip each but charged 7 euros for a childrens cocktail!+ 5 euros for a pint

Have visited playa de las Americas many times we find that it is a place which suits any age group. Plenty fo British restaurants if whtat is what you want but there are plenty of othe styles of cuisine to be tried. Plenty of good trips out - especially the Dolphin and Whale Safari which can be very informative and exciting. All in all playa de las Americas and Los Christianos have everything to suit every age group.

stayed in tenerife on three occasions, twice in torviscas and once in los cristianos. would prefer los cristianos as more lively, better shopping, busier, and better beaches, more night life.
seems to be more 'older people' staying at torviscas

The resort itself though was great, well recommend The Temple Bar for good all round Irish entertainment!! Also recommend Othello 2 for garlic chicken.
The main cockroaches that upset us were the ones in human form running after you everywhere trying to give you scratch cards. Started off polite, ended up so fed up with them not so polite - say NO!
In summary, tenerife is great for a lively fun place to be, but don't go to Laguna Park 2 unless you don't mind hills and smelly dirty rooms. If "The Sun" did £9.95 holidays in Tenerife it would do Laguna Park 2. (no offence meant to The Sun - I enjoy a bargain along with the rest of them!)

Our first time in Tenerife and after 2 days i wanted to go home. Playa de Las Americas has avery clean expensive end and then a very dirty scruffy end. We got lost somewhere between the two and ended up in a back street of derelict hotels, scabby dogs and cats which i could only describe as the bronx.
Los Christianos was slightly better but the restaurant PR's became a nightmare trying to get you to go into their places to eat, every 15 yards another would accost you and it really annoyed us. We purposely avoided the resturants that hassled you to eat there and chose to eat at places where you walked in of your own free will.
I found it very hilly and most days very cloudy until late afternoon.
I will not be returning to Tenerife as I find Lanzarote much more tranquil.

Very impressed with PDLA. Some spectacular hotels, illuminated fountains and new street furniture. Plenty of time share touts but just walk past them and don' accept anything off anyone.
Beaches was nice but black sand. Hundreds of eating and drinking places, Wigan Pier sold fantastic english pub style food.
Aquapark was great, and there's a good trip up into the mountains to a zoo called Las aguillas.
Don't bother with the free Aquapark bus, it is very unreliable and a taxi is about 5-6 euros.

This is a Club 18-30 end of the resort so i can imagine at peak season it will be very busy with young people. Whoever, out of season is a little quieter but you still get some 18-30's going. You are probably better walking an extra 2 mins or so to the Adeje beach as its a little nicer, bigger and have parasols available along with a beach bar ans foot shower and normal shower. We went october 4th and highest temperature we got was 30C!!!!
I would recommed this to people who want cheap but good standards, bit of sun and somewhere to drink everynight.

The resort itself was clean, amenities were near enough and the man made beach (not black sand) was beautiful. Also was not overpriced, We as a family ate out for under 30 Euros a night with drinks.

The resort is kept clean and tidy. There is plenty of entertainment if you like clubbing and bars, and there are hundreds of restaurants around all over. There are some nicer area's than others and around the Veronica's area, it is a little tacky, but if you like the club scene, it's fine.
The restaurants are of varying quality and price, but they are mostly really quite cheap. Service is also variable and often very slow, which can be irritating at times. However, manana!
The beach has dark sand, which can get very hot! Sunbeds are for hire at 3 euro's and it's worth a walk to get some with parasols.
The time-share touts are irritating, although there wasn't as many this year as previous. The restaurant touts can be really annoying as they can be pushy and even slightly aggressive. Some are quite friendly, but most are just irritating. We generally went into places which didn't have touts outside.
PDLA on the whole, is a little bit tacky, although it's cheap! I'd go again, although I've only been in Winter/out of season and probably would go in summer due to the huge amount of clubbers in peak times. It's much quiter in the winter months, but it's still really hot and there is still enough to do.
I'd probably prefer Los Chrisianos if I booked again, although I'd still come back to PDLA as it's great cheap way to just to get away from the hussle and bussle and cold weather!
