Great hotel, any rooms from 3130 to 3149, 4130 to 4149 or 5130 to 5149 are the best, if available, but just don't book it with Love Holidays as their customer service and support is non existent.

We stayed in Armutalan which is away from the cenre of Marmaris and a fair bit quieter although it has everything you need within walking distance.
We recommend Susans pie shop for a little bit of something familiar. They are genuine English people who make genuine english food. Look for the baker outside he's not very tall!!

Marmaris is a great resort with something for everyone.
There's the beach, although it's not that great (there's a better one just down the road in Icmeler).
There are several sorts of boat trips - we went on two. We went on the lazy day one which is great and the barbecue and all the drinks are included in the price and you can just relax on the sunbeds on the top deck. You stop a couple of times for a swimming break and a stop at a small village, Turunc which is lovely.
We also went on the Village Tour which we thoroughly enjoyed and met some lovely people. We visited a place where they make the Turkish rugs, a school, mosque and a local family plus a few other places. We had a marvellous guide called Adnan who knew all the Turkish history and was also a good laugh. The castle is worth a visit too. As is the market in Marmaris, but the one in Icmeler is better as it's outdoor.
The market in Marmaris is now indoors and you just have to go with the flow!! The tradesmen all try to get you into their shop, but you just say a polite "no"and carry on walking. You can even have a good laugh with most of them.
We were there 2 weeks and didn't do everything we would have liked to do, so we'll probably visit there again. The dolmus buses are great and come along every few minutes cramming as many people in as they can. It's only 1 million lira to travel as far as you want, which isn't bad at all.
We've come away with some fantastic memories and lovely photos to remind us. We had a brilliant holiday. We would recommend Marmaris and Hotel Grand Cettia to everyone.

Lots to do in Marmaris. Loads of clothes and jewellery shops, particularly silver. I brought a lovely silver ring there fairly cheap and had it valued at home for slightly more! Leather especially cheap too.
Didn't go to beach, but restaurants there all very nice - about same prices wherever you go. Just be aware that the Turkish try endless flattery to get you into their shops and restaurants, bit daunting but they are actually very frendly!!

It is a big complex, very family orientated. There is always something going on.
In the mornings you are lucky to get a sunbed. Everyone must be down at the crack of dawn.
The turks are nice to you, but after a while they do get on your nerves. They can be quite huffy if you don't keep going to their restaraunts.
There is so much to buy, I would advise to take an empty suitcase or pack a holdall. Clothes and towels very cheap and very good quality.
Two big and I mean big towels for 10.00 designer ones.
Seven vests for 10.00 Miss Sixty and Von Dutch.
T-shirts three for 10.00. Trainers about 16.00 upwards, depends how much you can barter with the turks.
I would advise to take english money. You are getting 250 lira to the 1.00.The shops take english and even give you lira back.
We had a few meals at Aloha. The meals were big and were really nice.Reasonably priced. We also had meals at La Vie restaraunt which is left from outside the portabello all the way down the road. First restaraunt on the corner.
We went on a boat trip to turtle beach it cost 8.00 each.
We were away all day, the meal wasn't up to much. Take your own drinks, they are selling you things all the time.Which can end up an expensive day.
On our day of departure we were able to keep our room on for 60 lira.
It was my first time in Marmaris, and I would definatly go back to these apartments again.

Excellent, lively resort with something for everyone. You do get hastled a bit but usually a polite no thankyou is enough. Loads of shops selling everything especially jewellery!
Beach not brilliant for little ones but lots of sunbeds. Lots of bars, excellent restaurants, Oyes, Natalies, Green beach. The night shows are great all the waiters go out of their way to ensure you have a great time.
Would definitely visit again.

Just got back from my first trip to Mamaris, previously I have been to Spain, and the Balearics,
I am most impressed with Turkey, I found it very clean and the people can not do enough to help you.
The hastle I did not feel was a problem, although we hadn’t taken 2 steps out of our hotel and my girlfriend was dragged into a tour shop. I found a pleasant no thank you and a smile was enough to prevent it. Although those with the best patter, got my custom.
The Turkish people are quite touchy feely and at first being English I found this strange, although its nice to be given a shoulder massage whilst you wait for your meal, or have your sunglasses tried on by all the waiters. I can not praise the Turkish people enough, they are constantly happy and welcoming.
The trips were fantastic value for money, and worth doing as many as you can, we were only there for a week so we only did scuba diving and horse riding and a Turkish bath, again everyone treated us well and looked after us.
Clubs and Bars – Marmaris has loads of night life and plenty of clubs and bars, I was amazed at how big the seafront was. There has been loads written about these so I won't go on about it too much. Favourites were Bar-x who like to drag you on to the bar for a boogie.
I enjoyed sitting on the beach and having waiter service, I found this brilliant, our first day we went to captains beach as we had been told it had more room, straight away our beach boy introduced himself and sat and chatted in between serving us. Again little things like this make the difference between a good holiday and an excellent one.
The food is absolutely fantastic, I can honestly say I never had a bad meal all week, best kebab I had was an Iskenda ?? from “cream”. Went twice just to make sure it wasn’t the drink. Loved the big breads, and dips and all the meat and veg dishes. Out of this world and very cheap.
Went to icmeler for the day and was very impressed with how pretty it was, the canal and all the flowers looked lovely and would definitely come back to the resort for a holiday.
Shopping again is an experience, but has been covered here many times before, we went to the bazzar and when the singing came from the mosque over the speakers you really felt like you were in some exotic county, excellent!
Overall, I loved turkey and will be returning, the only down sides I could find were the drinks in supermarkets were expensive (get them from duty free when you arrive as I like to have a little bar in the room and sit on the balcony a bit).
Overall a huge thumbs up. What a fantastic place what fantastic people.

We enjoyed Marmaris and found the Turkish people to be very friendly and we would definitly visit Marmaris again in the future as long as we were staying in the part of the town near the sea front as this is where all the action is. Plenty of bars and restaurants to choose from and although you are constantly asked by staff outside these places to "come in and eat or drink" you soon get used to it and a polite refusal is usually enough. Lots of shops selling counterfeit clothes and some of these are quite good quality, although as with most things you have to barter to get the best prices.

It's a good base for everything. Family enjoyed various excursions from Jeep safari to white water rafting brilliant country to do these. I got to drive jeep which was really exciting and scarey.
Marmaris in general was okay, shops were into bartering but not to excess. Left you alone when told I will be back albeit in May as June is a little hot for me.
