The actual apartment itself was lovely. The maintenance staff were lovely. But I can't recommend for a relaxing holiday or enjoyable time by the pool...

Puerto Rico is the best place to stay on Gran Canaria. It caters for everyone. Amadoras beach is the better beach we think for swimming, sunbeds are very cheap only 2.50 euro.
The only annoyance is the pesky time share touts though they will swear its not time share ! if you get offered a ride in a limo for a day in Maspalomas with booze and fags thrown in dont fall for it !

Puerto Rico is the best resort within Gran Canaria, it is suited for families as well as young people.

i find peurto rico a nice resort and beach very good as well.tho you get fed up with people tryen to encourage you and your friends into every bar in the shopping centre at night time and in some shops you cant get peace to look at stuff as the assistants are over and wanten you to buy things and i find that very annoyen after a while,but for peurto rico we always have a very good holiday.

Both beaches were fantastic. there are lots of choices for eating out in both centres. Watch out for the street sellers though!! Lovely place to be.

The resort was ok for us at this time of year as it wasn't full of teenagers. There was lots of variety in bars and restaurants and would strongly recommend eating at churchills restaurant.
Despite the resort being on a steep hill we had no problem getting around with a pram as there was plenty of amps and lifts.
The beach was very clean and again surrounded by loads of nice restaurants all with very friendly staff. Only saw 2 cockroaches all week!

Lovely place but not much shops. The streets are clean and the beach is amazing! spent everyday there!

This was the first time we had visited the Canaries and we would go again.
The only thing we both really really disliked were the amount of touts outside EVERY bar and restaurant who wont take "no" for an answer! In the beginning we were polite to them, after 2 days we learnt to ignore or try avoid them, otherwise they just hassle you and wont leave you alone.
The beach is nice, plenty of sunbeds but we did prefer the beach at Amadores (€3 in a taxi).
Overall a great holiday and we would go again.

The resort is clean dustbin men out at 5am every morning!
Great entertainment but mostly for young people. lots of clubs and bars not really for elderly people, lots of shops!
The beach isnt great but i would recommend getting a taxi to amordores beach it is beautiful about 5 mins in taxi from centre, you can walk but takes a good half an hour and your walking high up in cliffs so not a good idea for people who are scared of heights!! but overall great holiday going back in Janurary!!

Some great places to eat in the Europa centre just across the road from the Eden. Once you get used to the restaurant touts and start to ignore them its ok. Le Chef and Valentino's are highly recommended! If you want free shots, karaoke and a laugh you should visit The Tavern - excellent!! Only visited the beach once, at Amadores, and its a lovely clean beach.
