Near the Andorra are a group of bars. Check out The Soul Bar. Also The Restaurant Margarita -really good food. Great music especially by Mikey Mike who works in both places.

All rooms are good in this quite hotel with most having sea views
Avoid booking a studio without stipulating 'NOT FACING THE WALL' as we were allocated a room looking directly at a high wall 12' from our balcony even although we had requested a sea or pool view. Check directly with the hotel well in advance.

The resort is a nice size and I hope doesn't grow too big.
There are plenty of restaurents/cafes and Karaoke bars along the front. There are plenty of music bars on the walk to PDLA, most of them playing live music. Some good, some not so good.
One in particular, I can't remember the name but its at the top of the hill on the walk to PDLA has live British bands and I must say was superb, although because of its popularity, very busy.
We're not beach people but it seemed popular.

We loved the resort. Local people are very helpful and drinks as well as food is really cheap. Next time we'll go self catering.

Not much to do off-season, but playas de las americas is only a short taxi ride away. Plenty of tourist-orientated shops for souveniers, and places to eat, but not much going on at night. The resort is also very quiet and not at all rowdy as we feared.

Still a lot of building work going on. The walk ways are starting to show their age with cracks and uneven surfaces.
I found the time share/holiday promotion companys ticket touts a pain in the bum and very pushy.

Very much liked this resort. However, I imagine it would get exceptionally busy in the summer! Los Christianos is also very nice, with lots of shops and restaurants.

The local shops where a 10 minuite walk away from the resort, and there was an extensive range of shops. There was also a wide range of eating establishments, from fast food and take away to fine restaurants. The Veronicas strip was of good quality, however it was a little quiet at the start of the week, becoming busier towards the end of our stay, only expectable for the time of year.
The local taxi company was exceptional, even though their fares did vary between €4 and €9 for the same journey over the course of the week! They were quick to arrive at the hotel and, bar one driver, where all chatty and friendly.
The reps in the resort were fantastic. They where always accessable and easy to talk to, and the entertainment they provided was exceptional. The bar crawls where fantastic and they provided lots of information about local entertainment and facilities. The weekly show they put on was fantastic, and we were able to meet up with them afterwards in the Veronicas.
They definatley made us feel at home!

In our opinion there is only 1 problem with Tenerife, well actually there are 2. The first is the lookie lookie men, now don't get me wrong I'm the one who usually goes looking for them when I'm in the likes of Majorca I like a bit of chav as much as the next man! but the ones in Tenerife are constant. One night we were sat in a bar for only 30 mins and were mithered 13 times by these people, having said that once you've told them no they go elsewhere.
The 2nd and more serious problem is the timeshare/scratch card ticket touts, what a pain in the rear these people are, my advice to anyone is JUST SAY NO!!! This doesn't stop them but may stop you getting too annoyed with them.
If like we were you are hassled to within an inch of your life there is something you can do:
1/ When your told you have the winning ticket which believe me you WILL have, put it in your pocket and walk away.
2/ Rip it up and put it in a bin, don't throw it on the street!
3/ If you really want to be as annoying to them as they are to you scratch off the small panel which tells them what prize you've won then repeat the previous 2 above.
4/ Just ignore them altogether, don't say no, don't say anything, you may feel strange doing this at first but it works fine.
Finally I don't subscribe to the comment that they are just trying to earn a living, what they are actually doing is taking my time out of my holiday that I've paid for!!!
Happy holiday.

The night life outside was fab the Starco centre caters for every one...
The local transport is buses that go at a high speed or the taxis that you can get anywhere at any time. I was on my own but you go in these bars ands you do feel welcome and you meet loads of groups of people out to enjoy themselves.
Most of all the reps will make you feel welcome all companies.
