Near the Andorra are a group of bars. Check out The Soul Bar. Also The Restaurant Margarita -really good food. Great music especially by Mikey Mike who works in both places.

All rooms are good in this quite hotel with most having sea views
Avoid booking a studio without stipulating 'NOT FACING THE WALL' as we were allocated a room looking directly at a high wall 12' from our balcony even although we had requested a sea or pool view. Check directly with the hotel well in advance.

My top tip is to get the bus from the airport as it stops at the top of the road by Magna Building save on transfers

We did see plenty cleaning going on in the streets and the beach seemed clean enough. The entertainment for our age group( 35-40) was good and by the sounds of what the youngsters were saying there was plenty for them. We did here some bad reports about 'Veronicas strip' so I would be wary of going there, but down the other end there was no trouble at all. We enjoyed the food and had a good laugh at the bars. We would come back to Playa Las Americas, maybe again this year!

Resort cleanliness was very good, also entertainment around the resort in every bar.
Beach standard was very clean but the sand is very black one would have to be down early in the morning to get a position.
We'll be going back to this resort again.

There is alot to do and see watch out when crossing the roads as a zebra crossing makes no difference cars don't always stop for you so be carefull.
I had never been to Teneriffe before and only travelled abroad once I also don't like it too hot and found easter time perfect I will certainly go again soon.

The are that we stayed in was greatly improved since our last visit, however other parts had gone down hill. They dont seem to spend as must time on landscaping.
The timeshare touts are a bit of a nuisance but you soon get used to saying no. It is the same in most Spanish resorts.

While there was something for everyone food and entertainment wise the constant barrage of people trying to get you into their restaurant drove me mad.
The one place we went back to a few times was Sugar and Spices and amazingly it had no-one outside touting for business but was packed every night so I'd recommend booking your table.
The usual time share sellers seem to get worse each time as do their tactics.

We have been visiting Tenerife for ten years usually twice a year and this area has great entertainment a great variety of shops including some great new designer shops.
The beaches are beautifully maintained and are patrolled by local police so there is never any chance of the yobbo element ie gangs playing football drinking etc spoiling it for anyone else.
Las americas has something for everyone, and is not just a lot of discos as it is portrayed on some holiday programmes.
You can have as quiet a holiday or as lively a holiday as you want Las Americas has it all.

We had been to Playa DLA before, so knew what to expect.
We had also reviewed several restaurants on the internet, with the intention of trying several but, in the event, didn't get to half of them. If you get the chance, try the Japanese/Chinese restaurant Teppanyaki, above the fountain precinct, opposite Piramide De Arona - it's excellent(it's wise to book first). We also revisited Mama Rosa's (near Colon 2)and found it just as good as before!
If you like flamenco ballet, the Pasion Y Destino show at Piramide is well worth the money. You can eat there before the show if you want, although we didn't, as it seemed a little pricy for the menu given so many alternatives to choose from nearby.
We aren't into discos, but found a string of English bars near Parque De la Paz - all of which had nightly entertainment (karaoke, comedians, soul groups etc.)
If you are looking for a good resort with civilised behaviour and something for all the family, Playa is worth a look!

Playa de las Americas is a fantastic bustling resort with something for everyone. Every type of food you can imagine. Posh restaurants and cheap ones.
The shopping in the resort really impressed us as I have two young teanagers they loved the choice of designer shopping. There was even a Mango outlet.
Harveys an American Dinner style restaurant was excellent; air con and first class service, American style portions.
The best beach was the one in front of the Cleopatra hotel the sunbeds for four were only 12 euros.

Costa Adeje area is clean with great evening entainment for families. The best places to eat are along the sea front with loads of restaurants. We went to Amandas (opposite La Nina hotel) most nights really friendly staff & saw some brilliant turns.

Crime is rife, impossible to walk around at night for young girls even when you would think you were safe.
Police around in day none at night not a fanily resort.
Pubs are great loads of entertainment and the restaurants were great especially the Italian as you come out of the hotel to your left and at the bottom of the road Michelangelos i think.
