Near the Andorra are a group of bars. Check out The Soul Bar. Also The Restaurant Margarita -really good food. Great music especially by Mikey Mike who works in both places.

Avoid booking a studio without stipulating 'NOT FACING THE WALL' as we were allocated a room looking directly at a high wall 12' from our balcony even although we had requested a sea or pool view. Check directly with the hotel well in advance.
All rooms are good in this quite hotel with most having sea views

Los Christianos is very clean, not too busy. It has varied restaurants an bars.
The area near the Safari shopping centre is beautiful.
If you want to buy electrical goods go to the lare panasonic electrical shop near to the entrance of the Santiago III shopping Mal. The Indian guy in there is very honest, our family have bought goods from him over the years. We had a slight problem wih a battery for a camera we had purchased from him this time. No quibble he changed it. We talked about buying an pod from him but he said that he wouldn't sell us one because he couldn't give it too us as cheap as the UK. That's an honest guy!
Try the Chinese on the front in Los Chris the one nearest Burger King called ' Fu Lin' eat as much as you want for 6.95. They only charged us 6.95 for three kids to eat.
Then there is El Cedro's near the La Siesta Hotel in Playa America. The food is fab, it's spotless, the menu is varied, the waiters are great with the kids. If you go for a breakfast it's 2.20 with thick crispy bacon and they bring you a paper.
Beware of Timeshare towts do not be persuaded to go with them, they can get agressive!
Las Americas isn't as bad as I had heard, if you stay away from the small area where the clubs are it's actually very nice.

Playa de las Americas is amazing.
I went with a group of mates from the age of 23-25 years and felt it produced the goods to an excellent holiday.
The only thing that annoyed me was the ammount of people rying to sell you stuff while you are eating.

The resort was clean although there was the ocassional wiff of sewerage.
The entertainment in Fanabe is none existent but have a walk along the beach front and you'll come across some more. Or if you go Sep-May time then spend 6euros in a taxi and go to Veronicas strip its really not that bad.
I would definitley visit the resort again Id just be a bit futher in the centre though Fanabe is a bit too quiet.

Good Bars and Restaurants.Good cheap menus and excellent variety of food and drinks. Many shops and especially Pharmacies whose staff are extremely helpful. In the Costa Adeje area, this is more sedate and quieter, but nonetheless a very busy resort.Ideal for families. The beaches are excellent with plenty of sun lounges available to sun bathe. Plenty of 'British pubs' with Satellite TV's to watch Sport.Highly recommended for those who just want to relax and enjoy the climate.

Nightlife was 10 out of 10!! In the welcome meeting at the hotel the reps were great and made sure to tell us where not to go. We went out every night, usually to Rags- which is the best bar in Tenerife!!
We only went to the beach once or twice, it wasn't as crowded as we thought it may be, but sunbeds were quite expensive to hire out. There is a long strip of shops and cafes along the beach which is useful when you just want to cool down.
Will definately be going back soon!

Fanabe is a good family resort situated west of Playa de las Americas. It has a lovley beach front with bars and resturants.Black sand beach but no shortage of sunbeds.
Within walking distance to busier and more lively areas.Good sunset views and you can see the island of La Gommera on a clear day.
Good transport links to rest of island and no shortage of taxis.Cost is only 7 euros to Los Christianos or 5 euros to Veronicas roughly.Depending on what taxi driver you get!
Watch out for the dog dirt though and around the bars situated on the beach there was broken glass.Has a Burger King and Mcdonalds on beach front but open youre mind and try some of the lovley steak houses!English breakfasts a plenty for 3 euros.Nice resort.
Bit more upmarket than centre of pdla but not as upmarket as Los Christianos.Good for families and young couples alike but not 18-30s as not enough to do after 12.

Watch out for the hair braiding women - i tried being polite to them but it just encourages them!! Be firm and they soon get the message - also if you have long hair i suggest you tie it back so the don't follow you like they did to me!! I cannot make any comment on the beach as we used the hotel pool all the time but the beach did look busy everyday. As we were half board we did not eat out much but all the restuarants looked welcoming and the banter was always good - would recommend the Italian in the middle of the strip - they do a great Bacon pizza!!

The Patch is pretty downmarket and in the UK would have been pulled down years ago. Veronicas hasn’t changed much either. The English bars to the right, being 10 mins walk, are same as you get anywhere. Tried to watch the cricket in the Harlequin, where the breakfasts weren’t bad, only to discover the bookies opened at lunchtime. The pub then turned into a downmarket Ladbrokes and if you want to spend the afternoon with betting screens blaring out, then so be it.
Best place we found was Blaydon Races in the Patch, where Roxy, the northern drag compere, is always better than the cabaret. Hereford Bull across the road was pretty downmarket, the Indian next door to it very good and the eat as much as you like Chinese good value for money. Wigan Pier in Veronicas still provides good value food and entertainment.
Also went up to Torviscas, the other side of Veronicas and enjoyed an excllent meal at Spanish restaurant overlooking the sea, opposite Hotel Jardines de Nivaria. Then went on to the Old Ocean, where Ray Wilde still does as good an evening as you will get out there. Taxo to Torviscas / Adeje was only about 7 euros for 10/15 minute journey.

I was amazed by the cleanliness of the resort we were situated in the new area and only 100 metres from the best beach in Las Americanos, the entertainment was varied and the eating places many mostly good but you always get one bad egg in a basket.
The beach was man made from the Sahara desert clean fine yellow sand that is quite distinctive from the normal black sand beaches of Tenerife.Bed chairs were numerous and the prices were fair.
All in all marks out of 10 for the resort is 9 with 1 point lost for "Veronicas area" which is not the place you would like to be after midnight unless you are a young at heart tourist...
