Near the Andorra are a group of bars. Check out The Soul Bar. Also The Restaurant Margarita -really good food. Great music especially by Mikey Mike who works in both places.

Avoid booking a studio without stipulating 'NOT FACING THE WALL' as we were allocated a room looking directly at a high wall 12' from our balcony even although we had requested a sea or pool view. Check directly with the hotel well in advance.
All rooms are good in this quite hotel with most having sea views

Each year we return the resort gets cleaner and more modern.
Wide choice of bars with entertainment and plenty of places to eat definitely a place suited for family holidays.

The beach is a short 5 minute walk away with Veronica's a short taxi ride. The reorts has pubs, clubs and entertainment for all ages.

We stay in Las Americas at least twice a year because we have always found it to be friendly clean and an ideal place to stay if you just want to chill out. There is always plenty of reasonably price places to eat, the beach is clean and there is something for everyone

Costa Adeje - beach (black sand) but we don't particularly enjoy the beach anywhere, so OK. Lots of restaurants, bars, shops (San Eugenio). We basically enjoyed entertainment at our all-inclusive hotel so nothing to comment on what was going on outside. Would go again, although very hilly.

Although we didnt do a lot in the resort its self we did find it clean and very nice to the eyes. Beach excellent and only had to pay three euros for the sunbeds. Cafe and bars that we visited very nice although did not enjoy walking around the strip (Veronicas).

We found the resort to be fairly clean, did find some pavements difficult with a buggy as some very narrow or no ramps, didn't get bothered at all by timeshares, plenty of choices of restaurants/bars/entertainment, some beaches not that good, but beach couple of mins from Santiago III and Los Cristianos really nice.
I would definately visit Tenerife again.

We were halfway between Playa de las Americas and Los Cristianos in the Oasis Golf Resort.
Playa has something for everyone. St. Eugenes bar is brilliant for all the family and we visited here 3 times. Temple Bar just opposite St. Eugenes was also a very good bar, with two irish lads singing who were good fun.
Los Cristianos is a bit quieter and is nice for a walk along the promenade at night and something to eat or a quieter drink in a bar along the beach.
We didn't venture into the Veronicas area other than to Linekars bar (as we had a few teenagers with us - a different family) so we thought we'd show them that we were cool! My God it was loud! ha ha ha.
Like any tourist resort you can find food and drinks and differing prices but there is no need to pay over the odds anywhere in Tenerife.
We went on the Freebird 1 catamaran to whale watch one day and that was very good. I think it was 41 Euros and it included as much as you could drink (although I don't think that was particularly clever a that time of the morning on a catamaran that was bobbing up and down!), your lunch and a swim in the sea. It was a half day trip and I think worth the money. We saw lots of whales and had a good laugh.
We also got a car for a day and drove up Mount Teide and then over to the North of the island and visited Loro Parque (a must) and then drove back via Los Gigantes. The cliffs here are awesome and it's a pretty little town to sit on the harbour and have a drink at.
The waterpark in Playa is a good day out as well although I thought that it was very dear. It was 22Euro to get in, 9 Euro for a rubber ring to hire that you use on the rides (you can queue up to use the park's own rubber rings but these queues lasted for ages), 3 Euro for a locker and extortionate prices for food and drinks in there.
But the dolphin show in there.. OH MY GOD! I cried, it's amazing. The most precise show I have ever seen, it was brilliant. Worth the entrance fee for this alone.
