Great hotel, any rooms from 3130 to 3149, 4130 to 4149 or 5130 to 5149 are the best, if available, but just don't book it with Love Holidays as their customer service and support is non existent.

We stayed in the Armutalan area of Marmaris which is a short dolmus bus journey from the harbour. This area is nicely busy, full of English holidaymakers and has loads of great restaurants and bars. We have a 6 year old daughter and found that there was enough going on to keep her happy too. There was a crazy golf but mostly she liked sitting in the bars watching the waiters get up and dance and do their routines. Every night you could watch either Michael Jackson, Robot show, Mummy show - they went around all the bars regularly. There was no hassle to get you into a restaurant. They asked politey and shook your hand and if you said no, they just asked if you would call in the next night! We recommend Welcome Inn (see Ali), Yes Sir for a gorgeous meal (try the steak pie), Flares for great entertainment from TJ and Alex and the boys dancing to the great music (plus George the dog was a big attraction for our daughter) and Parkhead and Amore for a great atmosphere. All the waiters and staff are so friendly and made such a fuss of our daughter. The Turkish are probably the friendliest race you could ever meet. We had a fantastic time and although we only ventured to the harbour for a meal for one night we don't feel like we missed out as the area had enough to keep us entertained for 2 weeks. We did visit the bazaar one evening but it was very hot and you did get quite a bit of hassle. We went to Atlantis waterpark (booked our tickets online before we went and they were much cheaper) and that was a great day out. You arrange for the bus to pick you up from your hotel free of charge then it brings you back after 3pm. The waterpark is situated right on the beach front and you can visit the beach while you are at the waterpark but we didn't bother as it is very narrow and shingle. We had enough fun in our own hotel around the pool every day. We will definitely be going back to Marmaris and would choose to stay in the same area again. The only down side was the hour and half bus transfer from Dalaman airport and on our return journey the bus stopped after only half an hour for everyone to get off and buy a drink etc. We thought that was unneccessary. Luckily we had pre-booked our seats through the rep whilst on holiday so we didn't have to worry about what time we arrived at the airport and whether we would get seats together.

came to marmaris 6 years ago . it has changed so much ,we enjoyed it much better 6 years ago because it was still very turkish ,it has become very english and loud it was hard to find anywhere that wasnt serving an all english food. if your going to book a trip do it outside the hotel see adam!! turn left outside the hotel and he is at the top of the road we booked a couple of trips with him and he was very friendly, great with the kids and very knowledgeable ,he will also change your money and give good rates . the oh yes restaurant down by the beach is excellant we ate there 5 times .also if you want something more traditional catch a dolmus for 1lira 50 p down to the harbour ,plenty of shopping and restaurants !!

This was our first visit to Turkey.
Great choice of bars and restaurants and we never had a bad meal. Particularly liked Portofino (the one on the Icmeler Road) and Andy's.
Loved the character of old town and ate a couple of nice lunches in Ockeanus (probably spelt that wrong)- it's near mosque & they have a few terrapins in a tub on the path.
Long Beach is just mad! - clashing sounds of bad Karaoke and music tracks from neighbouring bars has to be heard to be believed - hilarious!
We found the resort very clean, but the sea was rather grey and littered.
Touts for bars and ticket shops - gets a bit tedious, but they were almost always polite.
We were a bit apprehensive about coming to Marmaris but were pleasantly suprised. We liked the size of the place, as we like to go wandering about, but would be better if it was a bit more Turkish and a bit less British!

We stayed at Marmaris.. It is a fabulous place, lvely but child and family friendly. The bars are great, and the food is tops. We spent everynight in the fantastic Sarahs Bar... The staff there are the best ever. The entertainment is second to none, and the food and service is 10/10.. I have trvelled loads, and even though I love my holidays I am always glad to come home, however this is the first time I have ever wanted to stay on a holiday, I was totally gutted to leave, and will be back again next year..Jimmy, Shaggy, Max and gang thanks for great hols xx

I would very happily visit Marmaris again. I think it is a clean, friendly place. Unfortunately because of sickness from the hotel I was not there as long as I would have liked.
