Great hotel, any rooms from 3130 to 3149, 4130 to 4149 or 5130 to 5149 are the best, if available, but just don't book it with Love Holidays as their customer service and support is non existent.

The resort of Armutulan is excellent, there’s a wide variety of pubs and restaurants including English pubs, Turkish ones, a 60s and 70s bar and even a Simpsons themed one! The shops sell excellent fake designer gear because of relaxed copyright laws in Turkey, and bargains can be found by haggling with the shop owners as they are likely to knock off a huge chunk of the price if you know how to work them. Speak a bit of Turkish and you’re well away. The local Dolmus number 2 takes you into Marmaris itself for 1 lira, which is a gorgeous place surrounded by mountains with a stony beach and expensive boats cruising around the harbour. There’s plenty to find to do in the markets, on the seafront such as jet skiing and water activities, and many shops to browse round. You will find a lot of English people there too, which can be helpful and makes you feel a bit less lost!
In conclusion the hotel is fine as long as you can afford to eat out and don’t spend all your time there, the rooms do the job perfectly and we have no complaints about the rooms- just beware of the food! Make sure you book some excursions out with the Timo Tours guys down the road, the Lazy Day Boat Trip and Turkish Baths are recommended, as is a Moonlight Cruise which a belly dancer visits and you get to cruise around the harbour at midnight. Take plenty of money ‘cos there’ll be loads to see and do and enjoy your holiday!

There always seems to be somebody cleaning the streets, we did go out for a few nights and found some very good pubs 1 being the Apple bar they will entertain you till all hours in the morning.
The beach wasn't sand it was small stones so you really need to take a pair of flip flops with you to the beach because as you enter the sea the stones get a bit bigger, the man at the bars would come along and ask you if you wanted a drink so you didnt need to get dressed to go into the bar, and they would sit on your sunbeds and lok after your things for you when you went into the sea, yes I would go back to this resort again.

Marmaris itself is ok some places are like Blackpool but as with all resorts you can find and do exactly what you want if you like noisy or quiet you can find it all in Marmaris. The beach is narrow but is fine for sunbathing

This was my second visit to Marmaris. The resort is terrific especially the food and service at a little bar called Amadeus and we would certainly go to back to the resort again

We stayed in the Almatum area one and half miles from beach with plenty of bars, restaurants, and shops with a great bus service.and everywhere we went the streets and roads were clean. the road side bins emptied every day.
Most of the local bars put on some kind of entertainment.
In Marmaris sea front and town the entertainment is none stop, bars, all kinds ,quiet, disco, karaoke, dancers etc, night clubs, kids play grounds, restaurants etc, and all the shops stay open till the early hours.
The harbour is full of boats, yatches and hugh liners and they have a lovely promanade to walk along. you can get very reasonable boat trips from the harbour,(barter for the price and don't take the first one).
The beach is clean and is mainly shingle, you pay for sunbeds and there are plenty of water sports.
The resort has something to offer people of all ages.

Marmaris is beautiful with lots to do. Not the best beach in the world but it was always full. The water Park is good with it's own private beach. There are more trips than you could fit in in a week though.

In Marmaris everywhere accepts english money, euros and liera so dont worry about getting your money changed. Dont Book excursions through your rep they rip you off and the bus is always late. If you like to drink their are two main places bar street for young one's and beach frount for everyone and it is cheaper. Trips - Dalyman mud bath and turkish bath,The drag show at talk of the town (child friendly) is a must, aqua park looked pathetic and heard bad reviews from jeep safari trip. Try and get a Dolmish (bus) when you can as taxis rip you off. Ishmeller (wrong spelling) has a much better beach then marmaris which is 15min down road in a vehicle. Everywhere you go you are hassled that much you give up looking at things of interest. Everyone wants a tip!! Rememba is 2 pound every 5 Turkish lira.

Due to the heat ( 50c) we did not spend any time on the beach, we did go down to the beach but did not like all the rows and rows of sun beds. Too close together for comfort or privacy. We spent all of our time at the hotel pool.
The hassal from waiters from every bar you walk past drives me mad. Why can't Turkish waiters let people walk past without Hasselling them to come in for a meal or drink. I know it annoys everyone and puts some people off from going to Turkey. We went to the Lancashire Hot Spot, Nice friendly people, A lovely meal, and the was no hasselling to drag us in. The same with the ELVIS Restaurant. Those two I would reccommend.
