Great hotel, any rooms from 3130 to 3149, 4130 to 4149 or 5130 to 5149 are the best, if available, but just don't book it with Love Holidays as their customer service and support is non existent.

After travelling to other parts of Turkey we would defo go back to Marmaris, lots to do lovely restraunts, lively bars. Shopping is great. Take english money as you get more for english notes. Boat trips are great. People in Marmaris are very friendly, they make you very welcome. I could not say anything bad... A realy good value for money resort, with lots to do.

Everything is very cheap - evening meal for 3 with alcoholic drinks around fifteen pounds. Lots of bargains for shoes, bags and t-shirts but the best buys are the Thursday Marmaris market or the Wednesday market in Icmeler wgich is just a short drive away. The minibus costs 1000000 TL for any journey (about 40p) and they'll pick you up and set you down anywhere - no set stops.
Beaches are all too busy so make sure you find a hotal with a nice pool!

Area around A Palace is quieter than the centre with good friendly bars and shops - also cheaper and less hassle.
resturants around maria in main town is hassle and expensive.
Main town is too much with millions of jewlery and cloths shops etc. find a couple get friendly over time and then do some deals.
Beach is not that great go to the next resort by dolmas or water taxi - or better still go on a boat trip £5 each inc lunch.

The resort was clean although you could get a good whiff of sewage at some times. There was plenty entertainment everywhere something for every one. Be sure to make a visit to 'allways' restaurant (even if it is only for the happy hour) and be sure to tell the boys Gino, Leo, Jello, Elvis, Musti and Jeffrey that Carole, Willie and Suzy Bear said hello. the beach area was clean and the loungers were free. Dalaman airport was chaos though it's too small for the number of people using it. It took us an hour and a half to check in because it was so small that all the queues were merging into one and no one had a clue which queue they were in. A man in duty free told me that the new airport would be operational for next year as this really put me off going back. Buy something in the resort to eat at the airport as it's very pricey it cost me £28 for 4 junior whopper meals at Burger King!

The travel agent warned us that Marmaris was "lively" but assured us that this hotel was outside the "danger area" for noise. In fact, Marmaris is so large and this hotel was approx 3 miles from the centre, that we had a quiet time. This does not mean it's isolated - as I noted, it's large. I would recommend Marmaris as a resort which can offer a wide diversity of choice. The quay has the best resaurants, if a little more expensive.
BEWARE OF A SCAM AT DALAMAN AIRPORT. We were advised by the duty free shops (5 shops all prepared to haggle price) that we could each legally bring 1,000 cigarettes into the UK. THIS IS NOT TRUE. The maximum is 200 cigarettes each.

Resort itself was spotlessly clean. Staff were always sweeping and cleaning and the pool floor was cleaned every night. The entertainment was a varied with different shows comedy, bingo, dancing etc. This did not go on very late. There is a private beach opposite the hotel which is not very big but ok if like us you did not want the hussle of the pool. You need to be very early with you towels in you wanted a bed by the pool as it was heaving by 9.30 / 10.00am. Continous games and extremely loud music to say the least was constant around the pool, which is why we used the beach area.

Marmaris is a great resort, the night life is good - esp down bar street. The beach is not very wide and not golden sand but the hotels seem to have really nice pools so we werent too bothered. There's an excursion stand near the Keskin hotel run by Oscar and Harley that I would really recomend. We got great prices and fantastic days out with them and they were very friendly and helpful throughout the whole stay. There is a good Karioke bar on the front called the turtle bar that was great fun too!

The turkish people are really nice , if you can get past the hassle of being pestered to go into their shop .
You do get used to it .
Marmaris Marina area is a great sight to see with plenty of bars and shops ( the bazzar is an experience!!).The whole area is clean and tidy with a Restraunt on every corner.
At night a walk along the sea front is highly recomended with the nightlife buzzing till midnight when the police have got a curfew on outdoor music, Most bars close the patio doors and continue.
A night in the turtle bar is a definate must.

The resort is brilliant and the locals are so friendly. The food is 1st class you must visit the Aloha resturant as the staff and the food are great, also the Green beach as it has a good show on for all ages and is very reasonable. The shops are well stocked but you must be prepared to haggle to get what you want.
