Great hotel, any rooms from 3130 to 3149, 4130 to 4149 or 5130 to 5149 are the best, if available, but just don't book it with Love Holidays as their customer service and support is non existent.

marmaris for us is absolutley magical, people are great, the shopping is fantastic although if your not in the mood it can be a bit testing.entertainment is great, the resort is so big there will be somthing for everyone,if not there is somthing wrong with you, beach is great although im more a pool person myself,i would highly recommend a boat trip onn one of theyre many boats, but go down to the marina and pick your boat as they vary from nice boats to really nice three storey ones, marmaris offers everything any beach holiday does with the added bonus of truly fantastic turkish hospitality.cant wait to go back next year for a fourth term.thank you marmaris

Marmaris was a lovely resort. Plenty to see and very lively - more so at night. Better to get accommodation out of the centre if you have a family as the noise and constant hassle from sellers can be a pain. Sand on the beach wasn't good quality, or at Icmeler in the next bay, although plenty of sunbeds with a waiter service/showers and food at varying prices while you are using the beach. Would recommend getting a hotel with a good pool and avoiding beach as much as possible if you just want to sunbathe or swim. Small buses around town to the outskirts are regular (every 10 minutes or so) and cheap (about 1 lira each). Many places to eat but shop around as you can save a lot with BOGOF deals on drinks and free breakfasts/kids meals. Great thursday market and the covered bazaar is on 7 days for those that can't wait. Make sure you haggle as you can save a fortune - and bring your Pounds Sterling as you will get a much better deal on the markets/bazaar by paying with these rather than Lira. Make sure they sell you what you want as they can try and stick the wrong size clothes in the bag rather than the size you asked for - you will struggle to get an exchange without paying an extra fee. Try and buy your trips at the various travel shops around town as the prices can save you 50% on the tour operator deals although watch whats included as this can sting you. Loved it and would definitely come back again.

Marmaris is huge and very busy. Shopping is difficult - you're not allowed to browse! If you so much as glance at goods, the shopkeeper will be half dragging you in to haggle. Some lovely restaurants. We had a great meal at Three Palms, on the roof terrace overlooking the harbour - it's not cheap but nothing is any more in Turkey! What we saw of the area was clean enough but we didn't go there during the day. I'd visit again but pick a hotel on the fringes - it's too youthful and lively mid-centre!

Food was very reasonable around 18-20 Lira for a fillet steak (£8), chicken dishes were around 14 T Lira and plenty of kids menus around 4-5 lira (or some were free, depending on the restaurant, but they usually had more expensive drinks, and the bill tended to work out the same as normal). There was an excellent restaurant called Ayhan, turn right out of the Aida apartments, take a left at the traffic lights/roundabout, and the restaurant is next to the bank, several of the guests all rated it, for value and quality as well as portion sizes. Location wise, we were too far to walk from Marmaris itself, however, I believe we were ideally situated as you were 10 mins from Iscmeler (good market on Wednesdays) and 10/15 mins from Marmaris, and the Dolman buses were excellent (orange for Iscemer and light blue for Marmaris number 2 not 3). 2 Lira pp to Iscmeler and 1.5 pp to Marmaris (kids are charged for), you don't have to be at a bus stop to hail one and you can stop wherever you want on the route. When you are on the bus, you have to hand your money down the bus to the driver, and your change comes back the same way. Avoid the man selling day trips/jeep safaris down the road on the other side, from the apartments, he conned us with the full day Dalyman trip, said it included entrance to a dolphin show, which was a complete lie and the kids were not happy with this.

Food- two areas marina - slightly more expensive really nice food in dede and aquarium. avoid spoon steakhouse as they make bills up as they go along and will try con you.
Try the puffy pitta bread its amazing most palces do it.
Long beah is other area - more bars cheaper than marina side bar dilek is fantastic really friendly guys, no hassle good music , make you fell really welcome.
Baran kareoke dance bar - really good fun entertaining and od knowd howmuch they must spend on fireworks.
Bar street - really expensive - B 52s really friendly staff and again no hassle.
you will get hassle to go in to to bars and restraunts polit no is usually enough.
Market on thursday is so funny - lovely couple , cheap as chips, cheaper than primark - but you must haggle and haggle some more
book trips down in the town.
Horse safari is excellent £16 each fro afternoon riding - they do try to sell you photographs and agin haggle for all your worth otherwise they will rip you off. but was brilliant afternoon - never been horseriding before and i was fine- really resally really good.
prob not alot for kids but if i was to go again i would defo stay in the same area - armutulan- it is further out but the hotels in the centre must be really noisy

A lively and vibrant resort, clean and family friendly.a litle bit expensive in some of the bars on the front including warm beer and weak cocktails, beware.
The trips are cheaper to book through the travel shops on the front by the attaturk statue than through your reps.
lots of bargains to be had in the shops which you are expected to barter with also but they have got wise to this and start at ridiculously high prices for fakes which they almost always are.a bit of hassle in the bazaar area - if they left you alone you would probably look and spend more.
a great place to go on holiday

First time in Marmaris and I would probably not return. Had a great time but having previously visited other parts of Turkey I found Marmaris to be expensive and garish.
Beach was clean but dark sand and the sea quite dirty. Lots of hassle day and night which gets annoying. Good entertainment but quite repetitive after a week.
Food always very good and reasonable as lots of places do 5 courses for 19TYL (£9-£10) which include soup, bread, a main meal, ice cream and tea/coffee. Drinks push the price of meals up a lot.
Lots of fake bags, clothes, dvds, perfumes etc but not particularly cheap.
