Great hotel, any rooms from 3130 to 3149, 4130 to 4149 or 5130 to 5149 are the best, if available, but just don't book it with Love Holidays as their customer service and support is non existent.

Marmaris is lovely, plenty to do and see. The locals are really friendly especially the ones who do not like to hassle and that is now the norm except for in the bazaar where it was quite frightening in one shop.

Armutalan is like a suburb of Marmaris, we liked it. It was a much quieter area, although the mosque wakes you at 5.45am each morning, but you get used to it and nod off again. The resaurants are also much better value for money and the people are so so friendly. You must try Mustis Bar. It is owned by Atilla and his staff are second to none. Beautiful food and lovely company. Also, we enjoyed Cousins 2 restaurant, again food and company brilliant. We did not eat by the harbour as you are just constantly hasseled by each restaurant you walk by, and beleive me there are alot!
Marmaris is a busy lively resort, and it is nice to get away from it all sometimes. If the locals just left you alone to brouse at their goods instead of constant'you look, you buy', sometimes if you just walk on by they can be on the verge of insulting. I am sure people would buy more, but you are frightened off by them. Find time to take some trips out and about as the Country is stunning. But, do not use the reps, use the locals who tout for business. We went on two trips for less than the price of one with our tour company. Shop around. All in all a really good holiday, but a little too late in the season.

The Turkish people were very friendly and helpful. Do go to the Turkish night which is extremely good value for money but beware of the airport cafes on your return journey - I was asked for £11.40 for one coffee, one tea and one lemonade and when asking how much a can of cheap cola was we were told it was £3.00 - needless to say we declined both times. Take your own drinks in case your flight is delayed as ours was.

We love Marmaris, this was our 5th visit here and noticed that in the last 2years since we had been here how the Bazaar and the prom had had a facelift, the gardens very pretty.
Plenty of boat trips, we visited Fethyie this time but it rained !! This was the only day of rain out of the full 14 days.

Marmaris is a very large resort with a new part and an old town with castle.
It has a lovely marina in the old town with plenty of restaurants to choose from, some with very good set menues. Some parts of Marmaris is cleaner than others and the beach isnt great.
Although we went in Oct, there was still plenty of places to seek out entertainment. One restaurant I must mention is the Keyif, which overlooks the marina at the very end of the prominade. We went on a sat night, which was very busy but after having a couple of drinks at the bar, we were shown to a seat at the window with a great view over the marina. We chose the set menu and started with a basket of bread with garlic butter. We were then served eight different dishes of food, not unlike the spanish tapas which were delicious. After this spring rolls and battered mushrooms were served. After resting for 15 mins our main courses were served which included steak for my wife and grilled sea bass for myself.Dessert, bottle of wine and tea or coffee was also included. The entertainment was fantastic with a man and wife singing all sorts of songs and playing the organ and saxaphone.
As the place had mostly Turkish people in it, the atmosphere was great when they played Turkish music. We stayed until 2am and the whole bill for food and drinks was £33.

Went to Marmaris in October most places were closing for the winter.
The beach was very dirty. Rubbish everywere got really fed up with the shop keepers and resteraunt people trying to entice you in to their establishments, so in your face kept calling me Jimmy [not my name]!
Clothes very cheap, very good copies of top brands always check before you buy especially if they take from their storerooms.
We will return in the future.

Marmaris was bigger than i expected. Was told before going that people were friendly and they would hassle you to purchase from them. Well i didn't expect the hassle to be so bad. I also found quite a few to be very rude and only friendly if you were buying from them. Would recommend Natalie' steak house, Dominos, Pizza Pizza as places to eat. Went back to hotel most nights so did not sample much of resort entertainment. Went on Jeep Safari and would recommend this to all, as long as you are prepared to get wet and muddy, what a blast. Would probably visit Turkey again but try different resort.

Marmaris is the resort for everyone! we will be going back next year but not to Kocer!! Deals are cheaper in the street shops than the Thursday market and Bazaars as these are more for tourists. If you want a good laugh try the Jeep Safari - but wear old clothes as you get filthy!
