Great hotel, any rooms from 3130 to 3149, 4130 to 4149 or 5130 to 5149 are the best, if available, but just don't book it with Love Holidays as their customer service and support is non existent.

We loved Marmaris but the hassel from the shopkeepers and restaurants proved to much.
We would have bought more from the shops if they had let us do some browsing, I found the hard sell approach just to overpowering.
It would be the one thing that would put me off going out from the hotel.
We would have tried more restaurants but were inclined to go to the ones that had no hassel signs.
The resort was beautiful and very clean.
The beach was very clean also and very well looked after but the hassel trying to get there was a nightmare.

Now for the resort:
*The worst thing was all the hassle from locals! Everywhere we went there were people trying to sell us stuff, they would come out of their shops, bars, restaurants, travel agents and pester us to come in, if we said we weren't interested they would shout down the street at us and we really couldn't relax! Even on the beach the restaurant staff would be trying to sell us food and drinks!
*The poor sewage system meant that really bad smells would waft around in the streets now and again which was really unpleasant! The hygiene standards were not like other european countries and we often had bad stomachs!
*The beaches in Marmaris are not very narrow and the sea is lovely and clear but there's lots of reeds and plants on the seabed which weren't nice to walk through but many people weren't bothered by it!
If you want a cheap holiday with great bargains in the shops and sit on the beach a lot you are likely to enjoy it! If you get bored by sitting on the beach and shop all day its not the place to go! We don't recommend Halici Holiday village because the food is so bad you have to eat out lots and its a waste of money going all inclusive!

Marmaris is full of life, a little commercialised for my taste but an ideal family destination. I would probably not do a "couples" holiday here. The beaches are poor in my opinion, dark gritty sand or shingle, but the boat trips available make up for this.

The resort was alright, could not go into that many shops that was due to the continual hassle from the shopkeepers. The boat trips are definitely value for money. The public transport was great, you never have to wait for more than 2 minutes for a bus.

Armutalan was fairly clean, the odd bit of rubbish but not too bad. Our first impressions of Marmaris were terrible though. The beach was a floor of fag ends, but as you go further up to ones outside bars they are kept clean. We saw a fella cleaning up the rubbish around the harbour area and it was nice and clean. There are no bins in Marmaris (probably because of the bombings) but it did not seem to matter as long as you bring a bag out to put your rubbish in.
There are all manner of bars and restaurants to suit all tastes. There are friendly quiet little bars in the old part of the town, loud pubby type places, chinese, indian, nightclubs. We spent one night on bar street where the music is LOUD and the drinks are expensive but if you are into nightclubbing its the thing for you. Food is variable. We had some meals that were so bad we couldn't eat them and others quite nice. The Taj Mahal was a big disapointment. It just tasted like a cheap takeaway from my local to me. There is a cabaret bar on the sea front called Buccura and the drag act was the funniest thing I'd ever seen but the food was rank. My husband ordered a seafood platter and got shimps still in their shells with teh head still on in a soggy batter. I got an Ottoman that was so salty I couldn't eat it. The drag act made a change from the same "entertainment" you get in every bar in Marmaris. Everywhere is exactly the same- bellydancer, breakdancer, Michael Jackson impersonator, the waiters dancing to sex bomb, then they put the casper slide on. It got tedious after the third night.
The beach is not too bad, better at icmeler though. It has a dirty look about it because of the dark colour and the large grains but the kids said it was better for sandcastles!
We got very fed up of being hastled all the time. They see you telling people at the last bar you've already eaten and they ask you again and again and again. We started out being nice and polite but bordered on rude towards the end of the holiday. It did our heads in. I look at a menu and the prices see if I like the look of the place then I go in. I know my own mind. I hate being pressured. This is the reason why we won't be going to Turkey again.
I also got fed up with the cheap fake crap that is peddled in nearly every shop we went past. I went to a lovely shop in the old part of the town though and bought some really good quality reasonably priced clothes and my husband was offered some tea as I looked round. Turkey has some of the best tailors in the world and they bastardise their trade making cheap copies of designer stuff. It saddens me.
And if you go to Turkey you must must have something done with your hair. They are the best barbers in the world.
Oh and go in the Amsterdam bar in Armulalan- you will have a right laugh!

Marmaris is absolutely beautiful we liked it that much we got married there, and I'm trying to talk him into renewing our vows in 10yrs so i can do it again.
Look out for the ADAM & EVE STEAKHOUSE we ate there most nights the staff are brilliant - Roberto (door staff) has a board reading NO MINGING FOOD!!! He's a scream and the waiters (randy)ANDY AND RAY are the best.
You can not go to Marmaris without going to the TALK OF THE TOWN/CHEERS BAR the show called THE PLAYGIRLS is unbelivable. Marcell does Madonna like you've never seen.....
We can't wait to go back in 2008 we're booking the Keskin again for its location...
So we'll see everyone in 2008 for our wedding anniversary....
Thanx for an outstanding unforgetable holiday/honeymoon xxx

Very big resort. Went 6 years ago and didnt see half as much as what i saw this time. Loads of entertainment going on to suit. Karokes, discos, nightclubs. Beers from 75p a pint. Imported drinks, cider rum (my favourite!) and coctails expensive :(. Didnt see a whole load of children i the resort.
Beach, ok. Preffered Icmeller. Would probably return to somewhere else in Turkey over Marmaris. Have to love a place to return and Marmaris didnt 'do it' for me.

The resort we found was very clean and had lush gardens. We were so close to the main shops and harbour about 20mins walk or go by dolmus which was very cheap and got there.
We had a great time and are looking to book again as soon as possible.

First time in Marmaris and I will definitely be going back. The beaches were not great but there are plenty of daily boat trips on offer at a great price (£10-£12 inc lunch) making visiting the different bays and coves around Marmaris very attractive. The marina area is lovely and shopping great too! Found Bar Street very pricey, bars along beach front just as lively and entertaining!!
