Great hotel, any rooms from 3130 to 3149, 4130 to 4149 or 5130 to 5149 are the best, if available, but just don't book it with Love Holidays as their customer service and support is non existent.

Marmaris is on a really beautiful coast - unfortunately it does not make the most of the beach. the beach is packed with sun beds belonging to the seafront cafes. You can use these beds for "free" but are expected to but drinks from the cafes. This is fine if this is what you want to do - unfortunately you are not given a choice as there is nowhere else to sit, certainly nowhere for the children to play and the sand is very gritty.
We had been led to believe that it was cheap, this is not so. We payed around £3.00 a glass of pop and £50.00 for an evening meal for 2 adults and 2 children. Take plenty of sun lotion, we ran out and the average price was £16.00
The hassle from shops and restaurants was unbearable, we were afraid to look at anything, and you certainly couldn't walk around and choose a restaurant, they were pulling you in if you stopped to look at a menu board - don't make eye contact or answer their cheerful questions!! Take plenty of money with you, you'll need it!!

Marmaris is definalty the cleanist place I have ever been too, there is no rubbish lying around or funny smells like you get in some countries. The entertainment in resort is fantastic, the beach front is packed with bars and resteraunts to keep everyone entertained! I must recconmend going to The Talk of The Town to see Bobby Kents, Play Girls Show!! We loved it sooo much the first time around we went again to see thier other show the following week, incase you didnt know, its a drag show, and worth every single penny!!!
The beach was not the nicest beach I have ever seen, the sand isnt a golden sand, more or a browny colour and it is very narrow (the beach not the sand, lol) but Im not a beach kind of person anyway so it didnt bother me! Although I really enjoyed my holiday, the next time I go back to Turkey I would deffinaly stay in Icmeler, which I have been to three times before.

The resort was filthy and you had to watch you footing as the pavements were not even. You could not walk down the road without being stopped and almost dragged into the shops. You had to barter with the sales staff and if you didn't but they would say swear words to you and tell you not to come back. They would also want to touch and kiss the children all the time which I did not like and felt I had to keep my eye on them all the time. Some of the bars were good but we only went out twice. the prices weren't on the drinks list and if your not carefull you can be stung with a very large bill at the end of the night. They are also money mad and if you don't tip them you get a very dirty look. I never went to the beach becuase I had been told to be careful as some of the guests had had their bags stolen from there.

This was our first time in this resort and we would not go back. The resort was clean and the pubs had entertainment on every night. The beach was too small and was very cramped.

What can I say apart from it was like Blackpool with sun.
Dont do it - stay away.

The resort was a ten minute bus ride from the centre of Marmaris, but with plenty of bars/restaurants and shops within a 5 minute walk.

Now don't get me wrong I love Turkey, haivng discovered it in 1989, but having visited Marmaris in 92 & 93 we were, lets say ..............very disappointed!
The small town has become a mass of shops still selling the fake goods (in greater volume), leather goods, watches, sunglasses and jewellery; intermingled with bars and restuarants.
Yes these existed before, but the, persistence of the various shop keepers to get you into their store can appear intimidating and the casual chats that used to exist now appears to have been replaced by a view that that have the right to insist you spend money with them.
Some are quite agressive and even downright rude if you do refuse to buy.
Marmaris has become Blackpool, but without the rock and the donkeys (but there are "donkey kebabs".
The local Turkish restuarants have been replaced with so called "British Bars", selling everything from Pizza, Steak and Kidney Pie, Sunday Roasts, English breakfast, steak, steak and stake, and chips. If you don't like these there is always the two McDonalds and a Burger King. Finding decent local foods almost impossible in some places, with Turkish food limited to 4 or 5 items on some menus.
Entertainment apart form the odd belly dancer and once a week Turkish nights seems to consist of the dreaded Karaoke, and Michael Jackson/ Britney Spears tribute acts, although one migh have trouble at times working out who is who!!
What is worse, as you walk down the seafront one is almost physically dragged in by the "spotters" who hover outside the restaurant telling you that their's is the best, whilst offering children free, coffee free, melon free, garlic bread. The only real differentiator is the price of the local Efes pilsner which varies from £1.00 to £2.00 for half a litre (although watch that they do not fob you off with Tuborg instead). Wherever you eat check the bill!
Also avoid the sea front "Turtle Bar", no prices/tarrif on the menus and charge what they like. £2.00 for a glass of Fanta!!
For a good idea of what is is like get an old copy of Eric Idle's, Monty Python monlogue about Torrimolinos , but replace "Germans" with shaven headed, tattooed English (it appears a requirement- whatever happened to socks with sandals and knotted hankies?), and "Watney's Red Barrel" with Carling. Luckily the "lizard in the bidet" does not make an appearance!!
The beach standard - Well no sand to speak of and approx 12 feet of it along most of the beach, before you hit the water!
Would we visit the resort again - No Way Jose! The resort has really gone down the pan in the past twelve years. Shame because the people are quite nice. The Germans and Dutch have left it in their droves, to such an extent that everything is in English (menus, shop names, bar names, etc). Even the many of the Turks will tell you their name is Benjamin, Michael, or John.
Shops are now shamelessly given those Turkish names of JJB sport, Next, Asda Shop, Summerfield (I should point out having nothing what so ever to do with those fine retailers) thinking that standing outside saying "cheaper than Asda Price" of "Better than Tesco" will make you want to spend you hard earned money.
Besides if I did go back they will no doubt have built a "Pleasure Beach" and have the Donkey's negotiating their way around the overcrowded sunbeds on what purports to be a beach.
If you speak to many Turks outside of Marmaris, many are often ashamed of the way the the place has evolved and the way the shops and restaurant hassle the visitor.
They even get you when you leave! Do not buy drinks at Dalaman airport. £10 for two small bottles of water and two tins of local Orangeade, not to mention £4.00 for a small beer. Still you are a captive market here. They know they are ripping you off as well, but they do smile nicely as the give you a little change and point that you may have have the beer as the water is not really that much cheaper!
Spending a penny in none too hygienic toilets will often set you back 25p-50p, although this on one area that does appear to have improved dramatically over the years.
However if you like your Burgers, Chips, Pizza, Sky TV with grown men sitting wearing their footballs shirts watching the Premiership......you will love it! But please don't let them know about Bulgaria!!
