if you want to be close to marmaris centre dont stay here ,uf like noise and kids running round you will love it ,also they charge you for air con and tv ,

Great hotel, any rooms from 3130 to 3149, 4130 to 4149 or 5130 to 5149 are the best, if available, but just don't book it with Love Holidays as their customer service and support is non existent.

Shops were clean and owners could be seen washing down the streets throughout the day. The local restaurants were clean and we had no digestive problems. The beach was clean. The sea was clean. However, the soads are uneven and were slippery in parts.
The entertainment was a mix of very loud music, dancing waiters, karaoke and bars. The Hotel Elmen, right next door to the Birmar 2 had good Turkish belly dancers etc at no cost and the restaurant was good. You are expected to tip the acts though. Day trips fishing, diving, boat trips, car hire, jeep rides etc were all available but be sure to check they have full insurance and compare prices thoroughly. I suggest that people take a dolmus (bus) to Iscmeler for a more relaxing, hassle free time.
The beach was very small, full of sun beds, very crowded yet clean, as was the water.
I would never stay here again and am seeking the help of ABTA to get my money back. I also discovered that I paid £300 more than another couple who stayed a week longer than us!!??

Marmaris centre itself is lovely but watch your bag and the hassle can get a bit much.
A must is the bast taxi over to Icelmar what a beautiful part of Turkey a complete contrast to Marmaris.
All in all I would return to Turkey just not Marmaris.
If you want to book an excursion the jeep safari is a must dont book through your tour operator even though they will tell you lots of horror stories. Go see Jack at the travel agents next to Sams Resteraunt. We paid £9 per adult which includes a lovely lunch. Be careful if you buy the dvd of your safari as my sisters one did not work when we got it home but mine did???

I have visited Marmaris again this, year, last year i visted it, aswell, and would definately go back there as i always enjoy myself. For others of you who like quietr places for night times, as marmaris is like ibiza sometimes, very lively, icmeler is quiter, and a bit nicer than marmaris, it is cleaner too! The dalmush only costs 1 lira 50 to go to icmeler, the last dolmush i think is at 12:00 so you can stay there untill then! but anyway about marmaris like i said it is lively, and bubbly, but one thing to watch out for are prices, if you can barter to get them cheaper than they already are (cheap) then do, it's worth it!

Was not impressed with Marmaris as a resort streets dirty, broken pavements etc.
Turkish people very friendly although quite daunting to begin with when they are all trying to get you into their shops.
Took boat taxi to Icemeler would stay there if going to this area again, but not likely due to transfer time from airport - 2 1/2 hours

Marmais itself is very lively and all the turkish people make you feel welcome, however be prepared to be hassled to go in restaurants, bars and shops for the first 3 days of your holiday you will be sick of your life. Its all worth it in the end though as they remember you and don't bother you after this. We found a lovely bar just down the road called sunnys which was very nice and we were made very welcome. Haci's is also very good for food and quite cheap, the kids also get free t-shirts. As a family we found Marmaris very expensive compared to what we thought it would be like but overall we all had a great holiday and will definately be bk soon!!!!

Brilliant resort so much to see and do.
Entertainment is very professional although not much contrast, belly dancing, break dancing, Michael Jackson,and Abba could do with up dating but it is free. Meals are of a very high standard.
The steaks melt in your mouth.A little hassle to get you into restaurants and shops but most of it friendly banter.
Beach is long and narrow loungers free in places if you eat in their restaurant. Excellent.

Marmaris very busy...entertainment just what you would expect at a busy resort.
Beach horrible dirty coloured sand if you could call it that. Yes but I would only go for a week that is about as much as I could stand.

mamaris was very clean ,beautiful setting,almost hassle free shopping.some good pub entertainment along beach walk way.well worth the visit.
