Great hotel, any rooms from 3130 to 3149, 4130 to 4149 or 5130 to 5149 are the best, if available, but just don't book it with Love Holidays as their customer service and support is non existent.

This was our second visit to Marmaris and we love it,always lots to do for both young and older ones.
You do get hassled a bit but just accept it,it is certainly no worse than timeshare reps in other countries.

Marmaris is like Blackpool gone mad. Front promenade badly in need of a hose down as it was filthy, shopkeepers no more than pests, don't give you chance to look at anything before they pounce.
Beach could do with a clean up too and the bolders could be removed from the waters edge, sunlounger mats badly needing replaced or at the very least washed.
First time to Turkey and it will be the last, only good thing about it was the weather.

My first thoughts of Marmaris was 'oh my god!' but as I got into the holiday I thought it was very nice, the beach could do with a clean up first thing on a morning. We used the sunbeds outside the Captain Bar, the staff there can't do enough for you we went to the bar every night to watch the karoke which we really enjoyed. We are already looking for next year. We went on the jeep safari while we were there, that is a definate must.

The resort is not the best. Not a bad place but every little wat to take a penny off you is exploited. an example of this is an ad on a board outside says 4 lira for a beer. after ordering a beer and two glasses of pop, we were billed for 28 lira. Shame. I was also charged a lira for my child to use a toilet.
Plenty of bars and restaurants around but check the tariff on entry.
Not a very nice beach but the water is clean and plenty of activity. The boat trips are the best thing to do on the holiday-swimming in the sea etc. here again all inclusive was different on the day when we had to pay extra for crisps and ice cream.
Wouldn't go to Marmaris again because of this rip off factor. We couldn't really enjoy the shopping due to the hastling of the workers. Be sure to choose shops where the owners are helpful rather than forceful and you'll bag some loveley bargains.
One of the highlights of the holiday was the visit to Icmeler market-lovely bargains if you can handle the hassling.

The resort's scenery is lovely - situated in a basin surrounded by hills and pine trees.
We found in general that it was fairly clean with the beach being tidied each evening and raked in many areas.
The marina was attractive to wander round.
This resort was much louder and busier than expected and the restaurants are many. (I believe there are about 1,000 in Marmaris).
The badgering from the restaurant staff trying to lure patrons inside was annoying and excessive although in the main good natured but made you think twice before wondering around places, especially the marina and beach promenade.
Once inside, the service was prompt, food reasonable and staff very friendly but not intrusive. The prices in general we thought were much higher than expected and we believe it has become steeper this past year or so.
We found the Turkish people extremely courteous and helpful and very clean themselves.
I have to say in all honesty, it was a bit Blackpoolish in atmosphere, though safe and we didn't see any gangs of drunken people, though we tended to wander back to the hotel about 11ish.
The beach is adequate, though not very quiet and the sea clear and warm.
I don't think we would visit Marmaris again mainly because of the commercialism and hotel music which spills out onto the beaches along the bay.
My husband and I are nearing retiring age but young in spirit!

The resort was very clean. When you went out at night for somthing to eat there was quite a lot of hassle.
I never went to the beach as there was everything by the pool incuding a slide.

The resort is very clean I got up 7o clock every morning for walk along beach front. All the locals were out washing and hosing the restaurants which there are so many to choose from.
Ffaros does lovely food all sunbeds are free at beach although they expect you to buy drinks and food from them. The beach is very stoney although a walk up to the harbour is beautiful. They do take great pride in keeping beach clean.
At night along beach front, discos and nightlife in abundance something for everyone.
I cant wait to return to Turkey there are so many shops and hot weather.

Marmaris is a lovely clean resort but very big. There are plenty of shops and bars. The only draw back is the shop owners who keep pestering you to go and have a look in there shops but apart from that the turkish people are the most friendly I have come across and I would not hesitate to return.

The beach is pretty rubbish, very small and crowded.
Definitely recommend the boat trips, go see Robin Hood and he'll give you a good price. The lunch on board is usually bar-b-q meat with pasta and salad and was suprisingly good!
My boyfriend and friend went scuba diving and had a brilliant day.
Also, definitley visit the bazaar, you can barter and usually get it for the price you want. Also, it is good quality and the bags are generally real leather and are a steal at the price you pay. I came home and had to pay excess baggage as had brought so much stuff.
Be careful in Dalaman airport, the man at the check in desk told me it was £36.00 for excess baggage, but only charged me £22.00 he said they couldn't accept credit cards or lira and it basically went straight in his back pocket!! Cheeky but they know that you just want to get home!
All in all, a great resort, will definately be back in the next couple of years.. enjoy
