Great hotel, any rooms from 3130 to 3149, 4130 to 4149 or 5130 to 5149 are the best, if available, but just don't book it with Love Holidays as their customer service and support is non existent.

The beach wasn't the best, it was just shingle, and getting into the sea barefooted, was difficult because of all the the large stones.
There is plenty of entertainment for everyone, and lots and lots of decent boat trips, including a good one to Turtle Beach, and the mud baths and hot water springs, and the lazy day cruise.
There are so many bars and restaurants to choose from, and they are all much the same price,( 20 lira for steaks and 4 lira for 1/2 litre bottles of Efes, although there were several bars selling it at 3 lira which is very cheap.
There are dolmuses,(small mini buses) which go from Marmaris to Icmeler and Turunc every few seconds along the main road, both which have weekly markets, but it is worth the 7 lira to use the taxi boat instead which takes just over 20 mins.
Without any doubt i shall be returning to Marmaris in the near future.

Marmaris itself was very clean and i enjoyed my 2 week holiday there. There is alot to do and most activities are very cheap. The night life is fantastic and i enjoyed it alot. Especially bar x and beach club along the sea front. The only bad point that i have to raise is about the trips. We went on two. One was to turtle beach and the mud baths and the other one was scuba diving. Turtle beach trip lasted for a full day but we only got 1 hour at turlte beach and 1 hour at the mud baths. The other 7 hours we spent on a boat which was very boring and the drink and food that they served were very pricey. (working out at about £4 for a can of coke.) It was the same with the diving. It was only meant to be a half day trip with 2 30 minute diving sessions but it ended up to be a full day and we only got one 10 minute dive in the morning and a 15 minute dive in the afternoon and again the rest of the time was spent on the boat with all the staff trying to make you buy all their products at very high prices. we were on the trip with my 9 month son and by midday they were out of water for him to drink. I would come on holiday to marmaris again but would book my trips from the boats in the harbor and not from and of the tour operators in the streets.

the only thing about the beach was the shingle ,it was ruff to walk on. we took water shoes which were a godsend.
you get hassled a bit by the bar staff along the promenade .shops are fab loads to choose from.

I had heard a lot of good reports about Marmaris before I went and I was not let down, It is a shopper's paradise, I had so many handbags to pick from I was stressed. The Point Centreis a good start for your night and in particular Adam & Eve Restaurant, we went there 4 nights in total your get a full meal for 18YTL. In fact we did not have 1 bad meal when there.
From the point centre you have all the clubs and everyone was great with the kids. a 15 minute walk along the front (walked before you know it) takes you to the harber and the grand bazar where there are 300 vendors under the 1 roof. We had so much fun at our appartments we did not venture down to the beach, but every evening when we went out for dinner we noticed it was still a busy place, the sun beds there are free so long as you buy drinks. When at the bazar don't be scared to barter and you will get yourself some exceptional treats and gifts if you can be botherd buying for others.

The Beach Was Discusting Too, Bits Of Bread, Plastic Bottles etc. Floating About And If You Dont Buy A Sunbed (10 tl each) Then You Would Sit On The Floor With The Rubbish, The Turkish People Are Dangerous With Cars And Motorbikes, They Dont Stop For Nothing.

the resort was as expected however the beach was very very dirty and only visited twice and both times found to dirty to stay black sand and cloudy waters food was poor and we eat from the supermarket cooked chicken rice and vegtables and bread. just glad to be back from this bad experience.

there were buses that go to the harbour and another to ichemeler which were cheap and frequent.we went on a boat trip and a jeep safari, they were really good. on the jeep safari everyone turns back into a kid as it is one big water fight you get soaked and its fun fun fun!!! Banana boats were fairly cheap they can fit up to 8 people on it and it was a good laugh.there is a market out side the hotel every tuesday and one in icemeler every wednesday.

The resort was generally clean though parts of the beach were littered with cigarette ends.
The resort entertainment was good plenty of things going on but did get a bit sick of seeing michael jackson, breakdancers, belly dancers. The staff in the bars and restaurants are really friendly but do check your bills because some tend to over charge!
Visited many bars but a special mention to the red devils of manchester bar (mario),jackie's and psycho's all really friendly.
All in all really enjoyed the holiday and will definately visit marmaris again !!!!!!!

Marmaris is quite grubby in places and I personally would not use the beaches there. We walked along the front early evening to see all the restaurants sweeping bits of food and dirty water onto the beach which was already covered in ciggertte ends. The sea has no appeal either as its brown and murky. We we told that Icemeler has some nice beaches but we never bothered to check them out. The harbour and high street of Marmaris has been well invested in and there are some nice shops and eateries. There was plenty of entertainment along the sea front from traditional belly dancers to break dancers and drag acts.
