if you want to be close to marmaris centre dont stay here ,uf like noise and kids running round you will love it ,also they charge you for air con and tv ,

Great hotel, any rooms from 3130 to 3149, 4130 to 4149 or 5130 to 5149 are the best, if available, but just don't book it with Love Holidays as their customer service and support is non existent.

very commercial, expect lots of hassle to spend money and women beware as we had constant sexual harrassment from the men. they will try to touch you up as they seem to assume that all british women want turkish men.
the place is still quite pretty in places but again, it is so geared up for tourists that there is very little turkey left! we found travelling out of marmaris was far more favourable to staying in this gawdy place.
this was our 4th time to marmaris, our last time being 2 years and we could nt believe the difference. all they are interested in is money and while i understand that this season has been very poor for them it should nt mean that they should step up the harrassment on getting you to part with your money. its very sad for turkey as a whole

marmaris beach isnt that great its very crowded and quite stoney, ur better off going into ichmeler where the beach is lovely and its only 10 mins awaty on the dolmus!!
entertainment in armutalan which is a wee bit outside of maramris was ok but our hotel was that good we didnt have to leave it.
The resort is very clean, but watch those roads cause the drivers are maniacs!
you do get hassle from the bar owners but i suppose thats just what you expect abroad! luved turkey and will never holiday anywhere else!!!

marmaris it self was quite a nice clean place.apart from turkish residents trying to pick out baby from buggy all of the time definatlly a nice place to visit

only about 10 minute walk from villaa sun appartments
if you want to get into a taxi cost around about 8lira.
we were out till like 6 in the morning by the time we'd got back home. was great experience
if you go to the bars & clubs i insist you buy a FISHBOWL. there amazing.

50lira for extra large
75lira for extra extra large
and 150lira for the BIGGESST!
sounds expensive but
we usually bought the 30lira or 50lira
and halved it between how many people drank it with us.
we were REKED!
basically didnt wanna come home from the place.
best place i've been on holiday!!

After staying at the Kaan Apartments very close to Marmaris, it really is just a short ride away on the bus which run so regular. The beach is about a ten minute walk and its very clean and staff at the beach bars very friendly and helpful. We did not go out for entertainment because the Kaan always had something going on in the evenings. We occasionally went out to try other restaurants and bars and never met a unfriendly person. There is a lot of things to do in the area and lots of water sports. We went on a boat trip, jeep safari and horse safari and they were very cheap. We will be returning next summer because we had such a wonderful holiday.

Marmaris is a lovely place and we have been 7 times. Absalutely love everything about it it is what a holiday is all about.

Marmaris has changed for the better over the 12 years since our last visit. Much cleaner and not (a building site on every corner) as it was then. Shopkeepers in centre still inclined to hassle which becomes very tiresome, and still ready to rip you off, if you are not prepared to do battle for a resonable price. Shops on main road towards Icemeler much more repectful and no hassle from them. Still loads of beautiful jewellery and leather shops. Didn't use beachm so can't comment on that. Food really cheap so eating out for the two weeks was no problem.

we ventured out into the town most nights and had some great meals (recommend charlies bar fab food and very cheap)as you head into town if your turn right there are loads of resturants on the harbour but are quiet expensive but if you turn right theres loads again but a lot cheaper offering the same. can be quiet a hassel tho with them all standing on the street trying to get you into their resturant and if you said no they could become quiet rude, but if you were firm and polite most of them were fine. loads of shops offering cheap clothes but you have to haggle they expect it and it can be fun. great bargins to be had.we went on an all day boat trip for £8 per person with lunch included and that was fab brilliant way to see some stunning views.
Would recomment the Akasya Appartments to anyone all 10 of us had a fab time and will be returning in the very near future.

Very clean resort, very close to beach, shops and bars. Many bars and shops to choose from and found some very cheap bars if you search for them, eg Family House 2.50 lira which is about an english £1. Will defintely return to Marmaris.
