Great hotel, any rooms from 3130 to 3149, 4130 to 4149 or 5130 to 5149 are the best, if available, but just don't book it with Love Holidays as their customer service and support is non existent.

IT WAS DIRTY WITH OPEN SEWERS INTO THE BEACH AREA. THE TURKS PRESSURE YOU EVERY TIME YOU PASS A CAFE OR SHOP AND DON'T LIKE IT WHEN YOU SAY NO TO THEM I WILL NEVER GO AGAIN.

absolutely loved marmaris, just down the road from the hotel was a restaurant called cousins, everything was perfect buy 1 get 1 free on all drinks, food was fantastic and the staff are really friendly, provided really good entertainment, i was there near enough every night it was just great.

We visited Marmaris for the first time last month and couldn't fault anyone or anything we came across. Every bar and restaurant we went in they made us feel welcome and comfortable. Entertainment in all pubs everynight making sure all the kids joining in and enjoying themselfs. The beach is all man made so no sand castles but i loved it with service to your sun bed while the kids play in the sea or behind you in a swimming pool with so much to do who needs sand. Cant wait to visit next year xx

the beach in the resort hadn't fully opened as it was early in the season so in part beach looked like building site as beach front restaurants supply there own sand and if they arn't open no sand prob would be better later in season, althoughnice walk along promanade to centre there is a brilliant shopping centre all covered and loads of shops although you can get pestered a bit but just walk away or if you really want something bargain. also a bit further round was marmaris castle which was nice to visit only three turkish lira (about £1) each which wasn't bad
also some excellent trips we went on a jeep safari into the mountains very good also the dalyan river trip which was fun would recommend.

Marmaris located in nice setting with good views over bay.Castle and old town moderately interesting for a half day, but that's about it.
Rest of Marmaris ok if you like nothing but bars and Greasy Spoon cafes.
Marmaris ok as base to visit other attractions, but some long drives - views over mountains and scenery make it worthwhile though. Pamakkale / Hierapolis definitely worth a visit, but probably not at peak holiday times.

Marmaris resort has usual selection of bars and restaurants although we arrived at beginning of 'low' season so some not open. Some night life avl if wanted.
As usual for this part of the world, the roads/pavements not to UK standard so watch if walking home in dark.
Marmaris resort is not particularly attractive but has Marina at far end nice views of mountains etc. There are a variety of shops and a market area. I would strongly advise against visiting the 'non food' section of the market as the traders will use every scheme to rip you off. All clothes are poor counterfeits and I was physically threatened with violence when refusing a purchase. If you must buy these items, the shops in the street may be a better bet. Many shops accept (and prefer) sterling/euros rather than lira.
Beach is shallow and mixture of sand/gravel. Sun loungers are avl but many linked to the beachfront bars so they will insist on drinks/food being purchased. Drink prices vary for 3l-6l for large bottle of beer.
Having visited Turkey twice, I noticed that prices have increased a lot recently (especially the Airport-do not buy food here) I do not plan to revisit in the short term.

Marmaris Marmaris Marmaris... we loved it and have already booked to go back in May 2011. There is something for everyone. shopping beaches. restaurants and nightlife. we found Amadeus Funhouse the best restaurant in regards to food price and entertainment. The bazzar and markets were best for shopping and the waterworld in Siteler was a great day out. Jeep safari is a must do sooooo much fun.
Enjoy your holiday and write a review about Marmaris to let everyone else know what an excellent holiday resort it really is.
