Great hotel, any rooms from 3130 to 3149, 4130 to 4149 or 5130 to 5149 are the best, if available, but just don't book it with Love Holidays as their customer service and support is non existent.

Visited Marmaris this year and was surprised by how quiet it was....this seemed to affect everybody working there and it wasnt the same atmosphere as usual because businesses are suffering financially and the people working there arent getting as much pay or at times work.
Although its understandable that they may be demotivated etc you do expect some standards when you pay all that money to go on hol...! However, overall it was good and some places did try hard with entertainment etc to pull the customers in! Marmaris is still a great place to visit and the surrounding are kept well maintained and clean which obviously helps!

The resort of marmaris is very clean, there was no rubbish anywhere. Lots of bars and restaurnats for every taste and pocket. Plenty of buy one get one free etc.
Loved the Anfi Bar(buy your evening meal get breakfast free)all the waiters especially tommy and sedat were fantastic with the kids.
The bazarr is a bit over whelming the first time but you get used to saying no and avoiding eye contact with everyone who wants you to visit their shop.
The market was quite good for bargains but check prices in the high street first as it is not always cheaper.

We have been to Marmaris twice before and we found that prices have gone up quite a bit I found it on a par with spain. The resort seemed very quiet maybe because of this reason. We do enjoy marmaris but feel its time to try somewhere new now.

The beaches in Marmaris were not the best! Shingle stuff but to be honest the kids loved the hotel pool so much and the drinks/food/icecreams so much cheaper than in town that we were all very happy to stay at the resort - apart from the boat trip we went on. All inclusive lunch and drinks all day for £30 for a family of 4 - plus they picked us up and took us back!

Marmaris is a lively resort with plenty going on. Since my visit in September 2005, they have installed an Aquapark on the Beach front (walk down to the beach and turn right - you'll find it along there next door to the Romance Hotel). Haven't been in but it looks great fun for the kids.
The Dolmus (local bus) will take you anywhere in the resort for 1 Turkish Lira (about 40p).
There is a huge supermarket called Tansas which sells anything and everything you could possibly need for a self-catering stay, and at very reasonable prices.
There are lots of shops, bars, restaurants (and a McDonalds) so you are spoilt for choice.
Two of the restaurants we tried were:
September Bar - this was very good and cheap - £5.00 for two course meal.
Mascot - which again was very good with plenty of choices.
These two restaurants are about a 20 minute walk from the beach front in the Armutalan area of Marmaris.
Meals (lunchtime and evening menus) also very good at Maris Beach (down on the beach just past the aqua park). You can lay on the sun beds on the beach and the waiters will serve you drinks and food, or you can eat in the outdoor restaurant. Very reasonably priced as well.
I'm hoping to go again in September to catch up with all my Turkish friends. They are such lovely people, so respectful and friendly, nothing is too much trouble.
And last, but not least, wall to wall sunshine the whole time we were there (about 85 degree F). What more could you ask for? Roll on September!

Marmaris is just the place to be. The entertainment for kids and adults alike is just perfect. I found it to be clean especially restaurants etc. I cannot comment on the beach as I am not a beach person and did not visit the beach but from walking along the front it seemed to be pretty clean.

The resort of Marmaris is a haven of night life and entertainment...if you like going to bed early or you dont like to party, then dont come here. THIS is the place for me, I am 57 and can stay out all night having a good time...I get up at 5am and make a day of it going to the markets, and shopping till I drop....a great place to be,,its the greatest place on earth,,not for fuddy duddies. or the boaring..it has a great shopping centre and a harbour that will knock your socks off, give it a try and live a little, your a long time dead

Found the turkish very leery, liked my 18 year old daughter very much - she was hounded everywhere she went - which she came to enjoy!!! Lots of hassle to buy/eat/drink etc but you just have to be firm. Lots to see and do.
